We had mixed reaction to the food here. The Cajun pasta was delicious and the hush puppies were good too. The service was very friendly, but a bit slow. It was nice to be able to enjoy outdoor seating. Fried shrimp was good as were the fries. Sweet tea was perfectly sweetened.

Our server, ( Marshall I believe ) was great. So my low rating is no reflection on him. I will keep it simple. The prices are what is to be expected at the beach. The portion sizes however are ridiculously small. Family of seven, we all left still a bit hungry. Im fine with smaller portions as long as the food taste great, unfortunately it did not. The coconut shrimp was either fried too long or cooked in dirty Grease because they were very dark and extremely "crispy" . If I had to guess I would say dirty grease because the hush puppies were the same. The kids meals were okay but again not enough food there to justify $9 each. I had the two fish combo basket and again honestly there wasn't enough fish in that basket to make one full fish the size of a small bluegill. our bill was almost $ 94 plus a $20 tip total $114.00 honestly if you're wanting to have some seafood while your vacationing you are better off going to Captain D's or Long John Silver's rather than the Shrimp Basket. At least you know you will be getting your money's worth , and your food will come out as expected.Update:I did reach out to the email provided in the response. Haven't heard back from anyone yet. Will continue to update.

Our server, Lizzie was very friendly and caring. My husband has a shellfish allergy. However, the rest of the family loves shellfish. He usually orders fish tacos or fried fish at seafood restaurants. Lizzie noted the allergy on the order. The food took longer than usual. We finally got our food. Then the manager, AZ came out to check on my husband and apologized for the wait. He told us he wanted to make sure the food was ok for my husband to eat. He looked at my husband in the face and said, “I came by just to make sure you were ok. That really touched me because this is the first time a server and the manager cared enough to make sure my husband didn’t have any allergens in his food. Awesome service!Dietary restrictions: ShellfishKid-friendliness: 2 kids under 12

Shrimp Basket is a great place to have seafood in a very relaxed setting. I prefer a more informal and rustic atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly. Menu was what you would expect. I ordered the fried seafood platter. All of it was fresh. Batter was not “wet” with oil, the way I like it. My only complaint, would be the green beans were soggy, but not a big deal. Tarter and cocktail sauces were excellent.

Erica was fabulous!! She was helpful with the menu, speedy with the food and charming! We also let her know we were out of town and she gave us some excellent recommendations. Our food was super tasty. Of course we had shrimp and a burger. Both were delicious. Thanks for a perfect set up to a great day !!

My cousin recommended the Shrimp Basket so we thought we'd try it. Tuesday is their all you can eat shrimp. The evening we were there, they had an electrical problem but the manager communicated with us, made sure it wasn't a problem and went the extra mile to make sure we were still happy. As long as the steamers worked for the shrimp we didn't care. It took a longer time to get started but once the food arrived, the refills kept coming. Very personal service, comfortable atmosphere and some unique menu items. We are inside and glad we are as a great blue heron tried dining with the patrons on the porch. The staff was quick to move it along. I highly recommend it, I hope to return again this week.
