I was just passing through Pensacola and looking for a place to get a seafood dinner. Found out about The Fishing Hole through Yelp recommendations. Had a bit of an issue finding the restaurant in the strip shopping center but so glad I found it! I had the fried oysters, with coleslaw and baked beans. Usually I like raw oysters but there weren't on the menu. The oysters were plump, lightly battered, and delicious!!! Same with the side dishes. Service was great! Very attentive and quick. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!

Had the fried mullet and it was delicious... wife had the trigger fish, and she loved it! Side salad is huge, and enough for two people to share! Ample portions for the price... great customer interaction... my tea glass never got empty!

What a surprise this place was. From the outside it looked a little sketchy, being in a strip mall, but inside it was big and nicely decorated. The food was excellent. I had the grouper and it was great. The staff was excellent and the menu choices will please everyone.

Don’t let the lack of curb appeal fool you! This looks like a tiny hole in the wall place but once inside, it is spacious, clean and much nicer than it looks from the street. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had the smoked tuna dip with fresh house made pita chips, Mahi tacos, bacon wrapped shrimp with cheese grits, and chicken Caesar salad. All of it was cooked to perfection.
Not enough positive words to describe. Party of six. trigger fish sandwich excellent, mullet plate perfect, grouper fresh. I'm not really big into seafood so I had a Caesar salad a a popcorn shrimp appetizer(probably 1/2 lb of shrimp)that was great. But the star of the evening was the shrimp crab chowder. It was everyone's favorite. They were busy it was a Friday but our server was great

The service was excellent! The food was average and a little pricey for the portion size. $17 for a few strips of fried catfish, hushpuppies, and one side and a kid's meal was $9.
I ordered take out. I got the blackened grouper sandwich, the tuna dip and the shrimp and crab chowder.I was beautiful inside.The food was AMAZING not one complaint. I will definitely return.The only thing I can say, as I ordered takeout and when I got home and opened my boxes, they gave me the wrong food so unfortunately I had to go back to get my correct orderBut other than that everything was better than I ever expected.
We were a large group with multiple special requests and they handled us professionally and with smiles on their faces!Make sure you try the chowder; wow! And some of the best hush puppies I've ever had.
