{TOKYO JAPANESE STEAK HOUSE & Sushi Bar=ALWAYS OUTSTANDING!}Location=312 E 9 Mile Rd #4, Pensacola, FL 32514TJSH is a Very polite & calm atmosphere, the service is always Amazing.The Hibachi grill area is always fun & comical. Might be a little pricy depending on your steak, seafood or Live Lobster preferences, but the quality of steaks is outstanding on top of how much QUANTITY of Food one recieves you akways end up taking a 1.5 meal home?after i finished my meal, which was delicious btw, my leftovers were another 1.5 meal=kid you NoT! Knowing this ahead of eating i always ask waitress for two To-go containers, so when my food comes i fill both containers to go, which leaves me with perfectly amount on my plate to eat Next day, if work day, I take one with me to work on Train, as I'm a Freightline Rail Conductor with a crew of 3, sometimes 4 if we are incredibly lucky, or training a new brakeman, or have a 2 mile train with major customers in need with yard pick ups, empty box cars, coal train, & chips for papermill. So ny crew gets hungry & sometimes we stay on the move, union or no union that collective bargaining agreement doesn't know when you're hungry. Anyway, enough to share with entire crew, including engineer! Sometimes it Keeps us going until it's anything but Bud light time?Anyway, if you eat there i hope its delicious & enjoyable like it is always for us. My reviews are always mine alone, & honest & truthful.

Went in, waay too smokey- as if the vent system doesn't work. I started coughing almost immediately. Ordered take out, and the entree containers were smashed and broken. (steak hibachi and chicken teriyaki bento box). My sushi was warm, and the chicken was microwaved- hard, rubbery and barely tasted like today's. The steak hibachi Styrofoam container was so broken that my other half couldn't eat it, because it spilled onto the floor instead- even my container was split down the middle, as if it was deliberate. Will never eat here again. And the sushi was salty. Spending over $50 for broken, smashed containers that sent food to the floor- not worth the price.

The good: The food was good and the Sushi was great and was delivered in a timely manner. Our waiters were friendly if not prompt.The bad: Don't go here in a rush! Beware if you make a reservation for a large party...they book as many as they get even if they don't have the staff for it. We waited for a half hour for our reservation and then waited another half hour for our drinks. Then it was over a half hour before they took orders and another half hour before the chefs came to the hibachi table. Our 7pm reservation turned into a 3 hour visit!!!

Make sure you don't come too hungry as this place can be a little pricey. However, the food is very good. Our hibachi chef put to much soy sauce in the rice so it was salty but he did great job with the rest of the meal, especially the steak. We didn't get sushi this time but it's been really good in the past when I've dined there. Drinks were great too. If you have a special occasion to celebrate, this is a good choice but I couldn't do this every week.
I have enjoyed my experience here twice now. Their customer service is spot on! Our server offered to get our soup/salad order before we chose what to eat since she knew we were starving and our meals came with soup/salad anyway. All the food was served very quickly. The restaurant was very clean and decorated very beautifully. I would absolutely be a repeat customer ???

DO NOT AND REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THIS RESTAURANT YOUR BUSINESS. LOCATION: 9 mile Rd next to Marco's PizzaThey ruined my daughter's 16th Birthday Dinner to the fullest. We made reservations in advanced. They confused us with another party and instead of trying to accomodate us they told us to take our money elsewhere. 40 ppl seated in the restaurant with ballons, flowers and a Birthday guest and no where to go at the last minute. We arrived an hour early and still no service was given. they showed me a spiral notebook with handwritten names on it for reservations--who does that. They sent me an email and said they treid to accomodate us...they did not and I have tagged people to be a witness to that. I asked him do I need to take all this money to another restaurant because he kept saying we did not have reservations and was there and hour early. He replied to me YES adn nothing else was said to me. The manager allowed us to not only pack up our things, but watched 40 ppl walk pass him and out the restaurant peacefully. No one made a scene or argument and we still were not accomodated. I will never go to this place again and I will not stop until someone address this properly. They aslo kept harassing our guests saying if they are not eating they could not sit at the Hibachi table with the party--remind you it was a Birthday party--what were they to do stand while we sit and eat to enjoy the party. Everyone was ordering food at our tables. EVERYONE and we told them this information twice. Wow!! I love the hibachi at Tokyo. The chef have they own show. The sushi was good tooo. My favorite sushi is Shalaka roll. I when Friday night. Was waiting. But it's worth the waiting. And the best is sashimi.!!

I moved here a year ago and have yet to find a decent Japanese restaurant that does hibachi. I heard great things about Tokyo so decided to have my birthday here. The wait wasn’t bad, and the food was to die for. I am definitely coming here for all my hibachi needs. :) The chef EKA? Forgive me for butchering his name, but he was great! He put on a great show, didn’t embarrass me too much (LOL) but it was a fun time. All the family enjoyed it. We will definitely be back. Thanks guys! :)
