Delicious!!! Best sub I could find. Pricey and the staff is rude as all get out. Has a real deep inner city vibe. But well worth all that for the delicious cheesesteak!

It was my first time walking into what I thought was a family run business. I expressed to them that it was my first time there and asked what was the most popular order. They told me it was the Philly cheesecake sandwich so that was what I ordered. The lady began to talk me up to distract me from the price. They rang me up for a regular Philly cheesesteak at $20. Listen, they charged me $20 for a takeout sandwich. It is a run down hole in the wall spot. But they charged me a sit down dining price. They gave me a decent amount of beef but not $20 worth. The sandwich tasted like nothing. Barely any seasonings it was like eating air. I am very disappointed that a business would try to do this to a first time customer. I assume they don't care about loyalty or repeat customers. I could have gotten that same sandwich (much better tasting) at Jersey Mike's down the street for much less but wanted to support a small business. Never again! Do better.

The food was great I came in during my lunch break but I hate to admit that I feel like I paid entirely too much for this meal. One sandwich and a drink should not come up to $25.

I must say my recent visit to Famous Phil's subs shop exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in I could tell that this family run business was legit. In business for 60+ years, they really do pay close attention to quality. I ordered the steak bomb sandwich and it had plenty of flavor, steak was cooked perfect. Portions were large / enough to eat half and save half for later. One of the best cheesesteaks around and that's not a compliment I toss around lightly. Will def be back.

Originally from Philly. Grew up eating Pats and Steve’s and never in my life did I pay 19 dollars for a 10 inch cheese steak. Actually laughable.43 dollars for two 10 in cheese steaks is crazyy. Regardless of taste, it’ll never be Philly. They don’t even got Wiz.

I grew up on this food and now I'm so glad my children are able to enjoy it. There is something about the charm, the family that owns it and oh yeah...THE SUBS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD ????

This used to be a great sub shop to go to even though they are cash only & I never carry cash I used to go out my way to get a sub from them whenever I had enough cash or would just go to the bank. The hot sauce they put on their subs are the gem and what kept me coming back all these years. BUT this is my last straw with them, after the countless times I have witness them being rude to my father who used to just ask them to PUT ON GLOVES WHEN MAKING HIS SANDWICH, he is someone who has been going since he was a kid living in the area. Today I was in the area and decided to surprise him with one because I know how much he loves that place, but doesn't like to go anymore because of treatment in the past. His last straw was them always changing the price when he goes. Like will it kill them to put the prices on the big board they have inside listing the name of the subs. The owner's daughter or whoever she is, is EXTREMELY RUDE & will be the demise of the place if she doesn't get it together.

Very solid sandwich but my bill was $25 for an Italian sub and a Diet Coke. That’s silly. I can get a bigger, debatably better sub at Publix for eight bux. Where did the extra $17 go?? Idk.I’d like to go here again but I won’t simply based on price… which you find out after you order.

Wow if your reviews are this bad about being overpriced, maybe you guys should consider repricing the menu. Lol all these bad reviews turned me away as a potential customer for sure. I’ll go to Sonny’s hoagies in Hollywood.

I went to this sub shop after having not been there in years. I ordered a pastrami and cheese and a Philly cheese sandwich with bacon and a sweet tea. There was no other customers inside so the service was quick. I asked how much? That's when things went south! The young lady said that will be $50.50. I said did you say $15.50? She said no it's $50.50!! I looked up at the menu and seen there were no prices listed and then I started looking at the ceiling and noticed how filthy the entire place is. Yellow stains on the ceiling tiles and dust stuck on grease covered vents and I thought to myself this place has really gone down hill!! Then I had to ask again for my sweet tea and she pulled a medium cup from the pile and I said I don't get a large at that price? She was like no it's a medium! The 8 inch sandwich was good I will admit but $50.50 for the two sandwiches and a drink was ridiculous! With that being said BUYER BEWARE!!!!
