“Beautiful restaurant, the aesthetic is amazing! Our waiter was Tobi and he was super kind, informative, and very attentive. For food we ordered the lamb pasanda, butter chicken, samosas, and garlic naan and everything was superb! Definitely recommend this restaurant and recommend requesting Tobi as your waiter.“
“You have to come here! Gilbert made our time here a delight. They have pani puri, and I can’t find that dish anywhere in south Florida! Authentic, genuine, and DELICIOUS ! Ask for the vegan menu if that applies to you! Cannot rave about this place enough.“
“This trip to a new restaurant did not disappoint! The food was great, made fresh, and the portion sizes big enough to share. Our host was very friendly and accommodating, and the wait was pretty much nonexistent. The decor was also pretty cozy, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for halal food in the area.“
“This family-owned restaurant was fantastic! Everything was made from scratch; it felt as though we were being served at the family’s home table. The service was exceptional. We had three vegetarian dishes and the naan basket. Portions were a reasonable size for the price and really tasty! We hope to bring family members who also love Indian food with us next time.“
“The Indian Harbor is an excellent restaurant for those who love Indian cuisine. My favorites are the Dal Makhani and the Butter Chicken. I usually order via UberEats but prefer to go in person to truly appreciate the naan fresh from the oven. The food and service are excellent… go with a friend to introduce them to this local delight.“
“Husband and I shared Vegetable Samosas & Chicken Saag for lunch. Samosas were the best my husband has ever had. Spice level was a decent medium. Our server recommended having the saag with thigh meat - and it did not disappoint.Service was attentive and efficient & would return if we ever come back to Florida.“
“The food is divine, the place decor eludes happiness & joy, the people are kind, friendly & attentive. This place is one hidden treasure that has now become my top favorite ❤️Chris and all staff are amazing, making you feel welcomed.“
“The Aloo Gobi was delicious and our server Jessica was very sweet and accommodating. It’s now my go-to Indian restaurant here in South Florida.Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian section in their menu, as well as a vegan section.Dietary restrictions: It has a lot of vegetarian options and they can make it nut-free, soy-free, and gluten-free.“
“Usually whenever traveling to a new city, I try to make sure to try new places each day. However, Taj Indian Grill was too difficult to resist for a second visit in the same week! Some of the best Indian food I have eaten in a long time, good variety of dishes, and great service! Place can get very busy during the weekend, so I recommend going on a weekday for fast service and best quality food,“
“The best Indian food I’ve had outside of my auntie’s house! Wow! Highly recommend the lunch buffet so you can sample all they have. Tanya, the owner’s daughter, gave us the best service! And the owner is super nice as well. Can’t say enough good things about this place.“
“My husband had such a great night here! We went in Wednesday for the unlimited dosa night. The deal is $15 per person from 5-11 pm and it includes different vegetarian options. The staff here was so kind and tended to us almost every 10 minutes. The food came out hot and fresh. We ran into some regulars that come every week and it makes sense why they do.“
“Weekend buffet: The best Indian buffet we've had in years. And certainly the most upscale. (Of course, the pandemic put an end to buffets and many restaurants chose not to offer buffets anymore so there hasn't been much choice.)Still, the space is elegant and the buffet is displayed nicely. The side nearest the main seating area is non-veg; the side nearest the wall is vegetarian. (As vegetarians, we didn't look at the meat side.) We were told they change up the dishes all the time.On our visit there were two mango desserts, one cold, one hot. Three appetizers: spinach pakora, spiced chickpeas and upma, plus pieces of naan bread and pappadum. Three entrees: a potato dish (dry, not in a sauce), dal makhani, and a paneer dish in red sauce. Then white rice, a spiced rice dish, and sambar soup, plus a vegetable biryani directly opposite on the otherwise meat side. After that at a smaller table was a dosa station, where dosas were made fresh by request and brought to your table when ready so you don't have to stand there and wait. (We chose potato filling and they were delicious!) Also at this table there was pani puri and the typical condiments such as cilantro coconut sauce, tamarind, lime pickle, etc.Lastly, there was hot chai tea and a cold beverage that could have been an herbal tea.The weekend buffet was $24 per person. You can also pay extra for bottomless mimosas. We did not, but I think I saw somewhere that it's $12. During the week the buffet is offered only on Friday. We were told Friday's is smaller, so it probably costs less but we didn't ask.We certainly had enough to eat. The dishes were not as hot spicewise as we normally like, and while the options weren't our favorites we enjoyed our lunch. We will definitely go back.“
“Madras Cafe is a pleasure to visit.Let's start with the staff, the waiter was top notch, he was very busy getting ready for a big event, but despite of that he was courteous and respectful. They were out of some dishes but he offered alternatives and helped us to have the best experience. We tried the vegetarian menu, and you will not miss the animal protein. The flavors of the food was outstanding, a bit spicy ??? please ask how spicy the food is before ordering. I am not allergic to anything but let them know about any allergy, the dishes have peanuts and cashews.Really easy to park right in front of the restaurant.Don't miss this place, you won't regret it.“
“Great Place, Great Vibes. A must visit. I'm from NYC stayed in Miami for 6days, but traveled to Ft. Lauderdale everyday for Lunch n dinner just to eat @ Joy's. It's hard to find Home cooked food, but joys is a JOY to eat @. 100% Approved!!!“
“My girlfriend and i stopped in. We were a bit skeptical when we saw the American fusion menu but wow this family knows how to cook! I get Indian food all over the place and this is a spot to remember. We ordered the shaved steak salad, palak paneer and had the chicken curry dish - medium spice level. Tremendous flavors in all the dishes and the steak salad was surprisingly excellent! The young lady working the counter was helpful and very pleasant. The older gentlemen was answering calls for orders and it was fun listening to him speak joyfully with his regular customers. You can tell the community loves this family. I can’t wait to go back to try more things. What a great little gem. Highly recommend!“
“You went there and it was closed, you never tried the food or experienced the service, but quick to put them down and try the other spot 4 mins away. Do me a favor an try them when their open because that spot 4 mins away was bought and sold 4 times already! Shalamas has been owned and operated by the same people for 25 plus years. They must be doing something right“
“I found Nisha’s at the Legion Park Farmer’s Market that happens every Saturday in Miami, FL. To be quite honest, the guy that sells these amazing products sucks. He isn’t friendly, he’s almost rude, and even my friend who shops there every Saturday stop buying from him because of his attitude.I almost walked away without buying but I am glad I did.The vegetable samosas and Chana Masala are so delicious, I’ve been craving more!I have never been in-store, which I’m sure has amazing service and atmosphere.I would love to shop in house because I’m not sure I’ll buy from the guy who sells at the market any longer. But the food is definitely excellent!“
“The place is clean and the menu items are reasonably priced. The food was amazing with really good Paneer items.Vegetarian options: The Paneer Makhani and Kadai paneer are the best among other Vegetarian items. Possibly the cheapest and best butter Naan I had in the USA.“
“One of the best Indian food joints in Fort Lauderdale. Not to be confused with Bombay Durbar on Las Olas. The stuff from the tandoor is all phenomenal. Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Shrimp and the Lamb Chops. The breads are amazing and the we love the Dals and Kadavu Paneer. We’re Indian and this our go to restaurant every week or so!“
“Had my daughter's engagement yesterday, mehfil catered the event, and I'm not exaggerating, but the food was above my expectations. And the quantity was very good. The food was so delicious all my guests really enjoyed the food. Thank you, mehfil. Highly recommended .“
“Was craving chhole bhature for a few days, and finally, the craving was satisfied here. Their pav bhaji was tasty as well. Warm atmosphere, delicious food, great service! Will be returning here for chhole bhature, pav bhaji, and dosa/idli.Vegetarian options: The entire menu is vegetarian. This is a vegetarian South Indian restaurant.Parking: Convenient parking right in front of the restaurant. Huge lot.Wheelchair accessibility: There's wheelchair accessible parking right at the entrance of the restaurant.“
“Hands down, the BEST roti shop in Florida. Singh’s catered for my wedding reception and all of my guests loved their food. My family from Trinidad couldn’t believe they were getting Trini food like this in the states lol. Thank you for everything! You guys are the best. If you’re reading this review, make sure you go to Singh’s!“
“Stopped by on a whim and ordered a bit of food. It was a good idea. Place was quiet, dark and simple. Food arrived quick and was hot and delicious. Bought some sweets on my way out. Gulab Jaman and jalebi were amazing. Balu Shahi were dry, hard and stale. One thing i didnt like was that there was a 15% tip/ service fee added for a party of three of us. And it was not even our choice or a choice to edit/remove. That's not good business. Pretty desi way to hide and charge customers. Overall a good stop. Will go there again.“
“Buffet was excellent and especially in the evng raju gaari kodi polav is delicious it gets our desi taste i’ll highly recommend this restaurant and moreover staff is very polite specially prashanth and akhil did a good team work we are almost 10 people they managed everything “
“One of the tastiest Trini spots in the area! The service can be a bit slow, and the food may be a bit overpriced, but trust me it's totally worth it!Also, Sheiks is all Halal and the place itself is very clean and well organized, including their grocery portion of the store. You can find many of your favorite imported goods from the Caribbean.I highly recommend the doubles, chicken roti, goat roti and veggies here!“
“This is the first time I had roti, but it won't be the last. If you like curry, and have never had roti, I highly suggest you try Ali's Roti Shop. First, let me say when you go in you are welcomed with a smile. As some of the other reviews have said, the ladies in Ali's are welcoming and don't mind questions. For example, I thought roti was curry wrapped up like a burrito, but the menu says - chicken AND roti or beef AND roti. So hoping they would forgive my ignorance, I asked about this. (You can have yourcurry wrapped in roti like a large sandwich or separate is the answer by the way.) The portions are huge here!! So I suggest getting the roti on the side. Picking it up as a sandwich was yummy but messy. In fact, with the portions as large as this, I could have made several burrito like roti instead of just one huge one. The curry itself was slightly hot, according to my friend who was with me, who is Jamaican. His tolerance is higher than mine. I would say it is medium spicy lol. It was very tasty and filling and not so hot that I couldn't taste the spices and flavor. The curry spice is the star as are the big pieces of moist chicken. I also got a piece of carrot cake, which was moist and delicious with just the right amount of cream cheese icing. It was also a large portion. To drink, I got their pineapple ginger juice that they make there, and it was perfect- spicy and sweet. The place itself is very clean and homey. Overall, a great first experience with roti! Epic fail on pics as usual. Always forget to take til it is too late.“
