Stay away! I have ordered from here many times in the past 3 years and it has always been excellent. Last night I ordered take out and it was one of the worst experiences ever. Now looking on here, I see some recent reviews about new ownership and sounds like the same experiences I had.I placed my order at 7:11pm…a reasonable amount of time passed so at 8:28pm I called to get an update on where my food was at. I also said that I can come pick it up instead if it’s not already out for delivery. I was told “oh no it’s ok delivery is leaving right now”. I live walking distance down the street, so I thought it would be here quick. 20 more minutes went by and I tried calling multiple times only to get a “call busy”. At this point it was 8:50pm so I just went there. When I got there, the place was empty and dark with one lady who said “no food in here. He left”. I went home and just assumed the food wasn’t coming. At 9:16pm I got a call saying my food is on the way and there were “gps issues”. I asked how long it would be and was told “right now”. I waited outside in my front yard to be sure they came to the correct house and finally at 9:27pm she arrived with my food. I asked for a receipt but was told they never give receipts and I “can see the charge on my card”.The food was cold and chicken was hard when I tried to stick a fork in it (even after heating it up a little). I can’t say anything about the taste of the food as I opted not to eat it.I called today to express my concerns with last nights order but I basically got yelled at asking why I didn’t call last night if I wasn’t happy. I tried to explain that I did try to call but the phone line kept saying busy. Sadly there was no discussing with the lady on the phone as she continued to yell at me saying she was there until 11pm last night and the phone never rang. I asked if I could speak to someone else and she said “no I have customers here I am dealing with, call back another time”.I am all for supporting people and their businesses but this lady is very rude and overall very disappointing.

Yeah they should really change the name on all the websites. It’s a Caribbean fusion restaurant. Food wasn’t ready when it said it was. Meat smelled funny. Took a single bite and had to throw it

This isn’t Chinese and that isn’t chicken. This place is under a new name and they’re passing by the old name. Came in and the lady in front was dirty and didn’t speak any English. Told them my order and they wen to the back to “cook it” but there was no cooking being done in the back. Food smelled like death I had to throw it out or risk getting food poisoning.

I’ve been coming here for years, the owners changed but the food is still as good! These nasty reviews are from equally as nasty people who can’t give change a chance. I love getting the house special fried rice with honey garlic chicken wings. I suggest calling ahead and place a pick up order, sometimes ordering online may give problems.

Please don’t eat here. Ive been coming to this place my whole life I live 3 minutes away. Since new management started it went downhill extremely fast. The place is dirty, the food is not even good anymore, and they do not care about what you have to say. I placed my order TODAY at 6:30 and it said to pick up by 6:51 it is now 8:00 and I’m just getting my food COLD ( I waited outside in my car the whole time) so there was NO reason for it to be cold :( no one comes out to talk to you when you walk in and the lady kept yelling at me correcting me about what I ordered when I have been ordering the SAME MEAL the past 8+ years. Please don’t waste your time and money here. It sadly is terrible now :( it is dirty and hopefully the health department will come and stop this disgusting establishment.

I think I came in close to closing or I think they were supposed to be closed. Either way. The lady at the counter at the time still took my order and she was really nice and the food I got was fantastic definitely will come here again.

My experience along with my coworkers was very disappointing. Not only was customer service rude but the food and delivery was subpar. Missed orders, overcooked and unseasoned food, and customer service was extremely poor. And to top off this one star review, the woman on the phone argued and accused us of lying about an incorrect order and requested that we return a meal in exchange for the correct meal we ORIGINALLY ordered.So apparently Shanghai located in Plantation take back and serve food that was delivered incorrectly!! For an entire department to complain about the food and service is ridiculous. YOU SHOULD SHUT DOWN!!

I placed an order at 11:15 am with 3 items. After driving 15 minutes to get there, I was told it would be 10 minutes because they "just opened". I waited another 25 minutes just to have missing items that I paid extra for. I ordered no veggies on special fried rice, but there were more veggies than rice. The mushrooms in my Mongolian beef (5 pieces of beef) were burnt. This was my first try with this place....not happy.

I have been going here on and off for more than 5 years, Apparently ownership has changed and so has everything else but not for the good.. I went today simply ordered a pint of pork fried rice and asked for extra scallions... was charged $2 I protested said no thank you and when I picked up my food she stated I gave you the extra scallions for free.. as you see in pictures there are no scallions,.. I went to grocery store next door and bought this bundle of scallions for $1.25... They used to be good, but do not go here or order from here... It's just not the same as it was... This is not my first experience with this lady at the front door... see pictures...

Confused from the minute I walked into this place to pick up my order. Online ordering and website has the name as “Shanghai Garden”, the name on the menu on the counter and the Apple Pay tablet was “Caribbean fusion and Chinese”. Received an alert that my order was ready but had to wait 10 mins once I got there for my order. Drove home and realized my egg roll was missing. Opened the Mongolian beef and it was 80% onions and 10% beef and 10% something. The taste was horrible. The sesame chicken was in a dark sauce with barely any sesame seeds. The chicken was dry and tough. I was highly disappointed.

Our delivery took an hour and forty-five minutes to arrive and was wrong when it arrived, but the very worst part is that when we called to see about when the order would arrive we were hung up on. When we tried to call back they would not answer the phone. We never got angry, argued or yelled to give reason for that type of treatment. From what I was told today this establishment is under new owners as we had had good service there in the past. I strongly suggest going somewhere else.

Stay away. Horrible! First red flag we placed an order smd paid online and when we called to add something they said the fax machine wasn't working and so they never got the order. Not sure what a fax machine has to do with am online order but anyway they never received it so we were able to get the confirmation and tell them the order again. Second red flag we ordered delivery and an hour later when the food didnt arrive we called to find out what happened it was delivered to the wtong address and we had to go pick it up. Smh so there goes the delivery fee wasted. Third red flag I ordered a shrimp meal and clearly ordered shrimp fried rice to go with it and agreed to an upcharge as that is the norm when ordering meals that come with white or pork fried rice. When I finally got the food the rice was missing all together so I had shrimp in sauce with nothing to go with it so I didn't get to eat it. Fourth red flag when I called to let them know the rice was missing they said they could credit my next order or i could pick it up as they wouldn't do a refund. No apology. No refund. I decided I'd go pick up the rice after work. When I asked the women about the rice she said she could give me white rice. I told her I ordered shrimp fried rice and if it wasn't already charged I could pay the upcharge. She said it would be $10 and some change! Unbelievable! So instead of apologizing for the mistake and trying to compensate this lady says this is a business n she can't afford to upgrade for a lower price and hands me some white rice in a box. If she would have said that at time of my order I would have never ordered. This place is a joke. If I went there in person I would've never ordered from there in the first place cause it looks dirty. I will be throwing the whole meal away as it was a horrible experience and the food isn't worth eating. Don't waste your time or money!

To my surprise, the business was sold, and new owners are there. To my surprise, they are not Chinese wasn’t sure the food was going to be all that great. Never judge a book by its cover as they say, the food was absolutely delicious even better than the previous owners. We ordered the boneless ribs, fried rice, and the eggrolls. The entire dinner was delicious. Wish we had gotten more egg rolls couldn’t get enough of those yummy! My only issue was the prices as they were using the old menus. Their prices are a few cents or a dollar more. So you need to ask before you purchase. Also, they charge an extra percentage for using a credit card. But other than that we were happy with that we ordered and ate.

I've eaten here way in the past specifically for the wonton soup. Haven't in a while, but had a craving for it. Ordered online to pay cash. When I got to the store I noticed not owned by previous people. I was like ok, let me still get my order. They tried to charge me more for what I ordered 1st of all. Nope, not happening. 2nd got home to eat & the vegetable egg roll was inedible. Horrible tasting. 3rd the wonton soup tasted like nothing I've ever tasted, pure yuck. Ended up throwing everything away. Ordered from China Sun in the next door plaza where Biglots is. Totally fabulous!! Will never order from Shanghai Garden again as it's not a true Chinese restaurant now.
