The food was excellent! The slaw that accompanies the jumbo shrimp is sublime! Goat cheese and mixed berry salad is bright and fresh. $70 Peppercorn crusted filet was cooked perfectly. Dessert was decadent. Upon arrival, the host didn’t appear for 10 minutes and appeared to be on his phone a lot. Aside from that, it was a pleasant dining experience.

A great Sunday morning with my wife and two beautiful daughters. Deb was our server. She was friendly, accommodating and provided great service. We all had the classic benedict. The holindaise sauce was amazing. Grilled thick ham with a roasted tomato with possibly a balsamic reduction and perfect poached eggs. My ladies seemed to enjoy the bottomless mimosa and bloody Mary's. I highly recommend Cafe Max and Deb. 5- stars !!!

Our first meal at Cafe Maxx. We had a gift certificate and had no preconceived idea on what the restaurant was like. It was a pleasant surprise, the meal, service and ambiance were all exceptional! We'll be back for sure!

Cafe Maxx is superb in every way. Not a pretentious, or uppity place. The food is 5 Star and the menu is unique. The servers are attentive, helpful and friendly. Try the tuna tartare pizza for an appetizer. It is a party in your mouth! Lamb chops were succulent and prepared perfectly. Menu is pricey, but you are getting deliciously and creatively prepared food. If you are in to good food, try Cafe Maxx.

We were delighted with our brunch choices. Sashimi pie was very tasty. Breakfast sliders were delicious. Excellent apple tart for dessert. Can't wait to try other dishes on menu. We will be back?

I had high expectations since a hospitality industry friend recommended it. There was no hostess when we arrived, so we waited a bit. It took another 22+ min for the waiter to take our order. For starters, we ate the yellow tuna tostadas (2) on tiny tortilla chips, which were not worth the money for the price but tasted good. For entrees, we had the duck breast that came with sweet potatoes and red cabbage, and all of it was sitting in a runny, soupy liquid. I was expecting a thicker sauce or glaze; it was very disappointing. My husband ordered the pork chop, which he said had good flavor, but he couldn't eat the vegetables. The desserts were subpar as well. The blueberry lemon cheesecake with blueberry compote tasted like it came out of a can, and the tropical carrot cake was overly sweet with fillings and not enough cake. At least the portion size for the main entrées was large. Everything seems “smothered” and “sloppy.” Unfortunately, we will not be coming back. I advise finding someone new to run the front of the house. The timing, the ambiance, and the vibe are off. Then, focus on refining the quality, taste, and presentation of the food. The food isn't terrible, but for the price, you expect a little more polish on the execution. It's a step up from diner-style service and execution.

Was recommended from a friend, nice neighborhood spot, but the maître D is very overwhelmed - gets involved with conversations at the table, while groups are waiting by the door to get seated. Seems to get lost a lot. Very noisy restaurant. But it was a nice food experience.

8pm reservation were not seated till 8:30 pm. We had various wait staff. Asked for sparkling water they brought tap water. Waiters seemed overwhelmed because they were busy. Asked for bread since every table had bread and it was late we were starving, apparently 3rd time is a charm they brought bread with the meal. Food was excellent but experience not great.

Always a great meal with some standards and some new dishes every time we go to Cafe Maxx. Service is always exceptional. Good wine list. Generous portion size for most dishes and they have lighter fare options as well. Can get a bit loud depending on the mix of guests. We had a rather large and loud birthday table on one side and a crying child on the other side last time, but generally not that bad. That is the only reason the ambiance was 4 not 5 stars. One of our favorites and worth every cent.

BEWARE my fellow patrons. Food was great, service was great…. But wasn’t worth the scary incident that happened with the Valet Company Cafe Maxx uses!!! They stole my house keys from my car and I was terrified I was going to be followed home. My registration to the vehicle was in the car. Cafe Maxx still uses the same valet company and the valet company IntraValet took absolutely no responsibility. So BEWARE of your Safety!!!! No one there cares about it!

Great place for a date night or to celebrate an occasion! The the lighting is dim and gives a romantic vibe. The food is spectacular and the menu changes daily. The service is attentive and you do not feel rushed during your experience there. I HIGHLY recommend the tuna appetizer pizza, the flavors are amazing. Also the carrot cake was to die for!

Have dined here several times, always with a good outcome. Went last week and was completely disappointed. We ordered a bottle of wine, the server disappeared for 20 minutes then came back saying she "couldn't find that wine". We ordered another bottle and she disappeared again for another 15 minutes and never came back. We sat at the table for over 30 minutes - no wine - nobody took any appetizer order. We got up and left and will not go back. The food is good but if the service that night is any indication, its just not worth the waste of time. What a shame.

Perfect spot for a date, quiet and dark ambiance, good food, however, service is a hit or miss depending on who is your server.
