I ordered food for pickup and there was a young hostess girl that took care of me, she was really attentive and took good care of meThe staff was really friendly, I made sure I left her a good tip for her excellent service.

A discarded kitchen appliance greeted us in the back of the parking lot.New ownership, my server answered, by a Japanese group that owns many Asian restaurants in South Florida, perhaps too many. The new owners don't announce themselves and are not on site. A "closed for renovation" sign was up for months suggesting demolition. They renovated but in a discount way that comes across as plastic knockoff rather than authentic. Lantern lights are beautiful but serve no practical purpose as they are dwarfed by super bright and cold-temp recessed lights over every table which kill any hope of ambience and make you feel like you're eating in your favorite aisle at CVS.Hunan Pork had wonderfully green and crisp broccoli but the bizarrely nubby and thin sliced pork was suspiciously if not dangerously off in texture and taste. Two days of gas and chest pain led me to my doctor so I can not recommend.Mongolian Beef had ginger and better flavor but ultimately it is volume 11 out of balance.Neither dish came out hot or would make you come back. It's downhill from lukewarm. No one from the idle counter host to your not overwhelmed server will sense what you're missing or ask you how they can make things better. The staff seems content knowing they showed up and will get paid. You will be given a napkin with only a fork in it. Your order of tea will come with only a caddy of sugar substitutes. No knife, spoon, or sugar will be in sight. A request for sugar not sweeteners will lead to a weird server pause then a tiny plate with a helping of sugar on it. You will never get a spoon. You will stir the tea with your napkin fork or not at all. Your teapot for two will have one tea bag in it and be less than half full, I guess to not exhaust the single bag. You will be charged $4 each for this. Your request for knives will lead to a single knife for the two of you to share between bites. You will never be offered more rice. Your good fortune will be to spot a Chinese employee.People eat with knives, Peking sequel. Finely cut, ambiguously sourced meat doesn't get you out of this expectation. We cut our food. We load our forks with knives not fingers. No chop sticks were present or offered. No request for spicy was fulfilled. Is the ghost of the original Peking Duck, the heyday Peking Duck, able to see this and is he groaning?Between the anti-atmosphere lighting, the glaringly frugal and incomplete table setting, the nonsensical instincts of the kind server, and the Hunan Pork which came with a side of quasi heart attack, I cannot recommend you come here.If you wax poetic about classic Chinatown style Chinese food in Fort Lauderdale, you'll need to time travel to 1980s Moy Lee or buy a plane ticket to a big city with an actual restaurant scene and culinary pedigree. And I'm a local. The good news is my stomach has settled after 3 days and my EKG came back normal.Wheelchair accessibility: Decrepit but safe ramp to entrance installed by former owners

Wonderful place. Staff was very nice and caring, checking up on us often. Food was delicious, I got the house special fried rice and it was the BEST. Atmosphere was amazing, I couldn’t stop admiring the walls and general design. Will go again very soon.

Average fare. Nice renovations. Great ambience. Spring rolls a bit greasy-kind of tasted frozen previously, General Tao chicken very sweet rather than savory, fried rice, wonton soup all average in flavor. Best item: beef buns (bao buns).

Today we came to the Peking Duck House the second time after reopening! Both times we shared the full peking duck! We loved it both times, great quality, nice presentation, great taste, attentive and friendly service. Overall a fantastic experience! We will come back for sure!

Where do I begin? I was going to the previous owner for over 20 years and couldn’t wait for the reopeningWe sat down without anyone acknowledging we were there. Finally we were given a menu but sat for over 40 minutes until I had to ask for service and a wine menuHad to call another waiter over to take my order. After the order arrived I had to ask for silverware. The shrimp with lobster sauce was horrible, no taste and you needed binoculars to find a shrimp. My cashew chicken was just ok but no flavor either. The fastest part of the service I was given was when I asked for the check. Geeze they came rather quickly for thatNever again , do yourself a favor, stay away!!!!

We've eaten here twice now and some food items are exceptional and others are middle of the road. The restaurant was recently remodeled and the interior decorations and walls are wonderful, but the booths remind me of Denny's.The shrimp lo mein and kung pao chicken we're both exceptional but their fried rice was quite disappointing.

Sadly, if you are looking to dine here for the first time, you need to ignore all reviews from prior to 2024. It is not the same. They basically "bought the name" and location because nothing else is the same. They used to have the best food. Now it is below mall food. The place was DONE BEAUTIFUL... but that's pretty much it.It used to be a family.place. a place to go to share and laugh and visit. Now, you are lucky if the portions are enough to fill one (if you can even eat it....see the "chicken "fried" rice... what is that??? Boiled chicken????)Anyway, it is a sad sad thing for pompano residents who have anxiously awaited this reopening. You think the new owners would have been gracious, but they seemed I'll prepared for the questions (where is the egg foo young. Did you guys get rid of the noodles on the table ? Tea is 8.00 a pot?!?!l the meal comes with no soup or anything???) it feels like they did no research before taking this place over. I am sure some will like it and that is fine. We had visited weekly for years, but sadly it will be the last visit for us and from what I am reading, other long time patrons too.

My wife and I went for lunch yesterday. We had 2 appetizers - the pork dumplings and the duck dim sum. The duck was amazing. The best thing I had there. The wontons felt like they were frozen not homemade. For lunch we had Mongolian beef and pad Thai. The beef in the Mongolian beef also felt frozen not fresh - but the pad Thai was really yummy. All the sauces were great and the staff was pleasant to deal with. Not expensive, the whole lunch was 60$. If we didn’t do the apps then it would have 30$.It was good but it felt like PF Changs. Probably not in a rush to go back, as it wasn’t really special.Kid-friendliness: Doesn’t feel like it’s a good spot to bring my kids.
