We ate there last night because of the 2 for 1 coupon. But we will return, even without the coupon. Food was great, service terrific and prices moderate. We started with a special appetizer of eggplant, tomato and mozzarella. Enought for a meal and delicious. Our entrees were a carbonara and a chicken dish. Both well seasoned and ample, enough for today's lunch. Neighborhood a little shaky and it is a shame they are not in a better location. Nice live music and simple decor. We will surely be back!

This was my first & last time I'd ever go to this place. They suckered me in with A buy 1 get 1 free deal. The waiter tacked on a 20 percent tip of $11. It was not worth the $50. I could have gone elsewhere for the same amount of money & it would have been better quality food. I've been to Zucarellos on Commercial Blvd in Ft. Lauderdale, better quality food for the same price. I would also not have to listen to the waiter haggle with 4 older ladies that they aren't spending enough for the deal. Ugly outside, lovely inside, mediocre food......NEXT !

We've been the Cucina Orecchio's many times since they've opened. The food has been consistently great but last night, was simply outstanding. Their "gravy" is fabulous, reminds me of my mom's and that's not easy. The shrimp fra diavlo was perfect...as was the chicken parmigiana (that my husband had). Service is great, food is awesome and they even have live music now. We were very happy for the owners when we walked in last night and saw a packed house. Great job guys...thank you for putting the best Italian restaurant in Broward county in our little neighborhood!

Been here for lunch, very affordable menu and taste dish, at least my Tilapia Franchese over spinach was really good, and only $7.95, the only issue is that they are not really consistent with their "hours" been there twice for lunch and for whatever reason they were close...

We went for our third visit, and enjoy it more & more each time. It has a NY feel, the food and prices are very good. Last evening it was quite busy and Michael is a hands on type of guy, treats ALL his quests very special, a lot of restaurants forget that special touch that can make or break a restaurant,Michael gets it, and we wish him much success, we will continue to support him and bring our friends as well. Last night my friend had the Flounder Florentine=excellant, I had Linguini Carbonara also delish, a plus for me with this dish is that it did not disagree with me, It may sound silly I take the risk because I enjoy it, but its usually way too rich, not last night it was perfect and I was fine with it. All & All it was a lovely evening, oh did I mention the music by Jerry also a plus . Michael keep up the good work. DELISH, DELISH! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Joanie P

I am giving a higher rating than the previous reviewer, and am basing my review on two visits. I was most recently at Cucina Orrecchio earlier this month (October 2011), and my prior visit was in February 2011. Both times I have been there, I have had delicious meals and excellent service at an affordable price. On my last visit, I tried the veal chop. It was outstanding. Large portion, tender, and delicious. On my previous visit, I had shrimp scampi: large jumbo shrimp in a delicious sauce. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are huge, and it's not a chain restaurant, so it has a very welcoming and homey atmosphere. I recommend it for a change from the usual routine.

Although I rate this good, it is really a "tweener", between fair and good. We were 6 people, and essentially the other 5 diners rated it fair but I felt it was good, but note that they use more lower end ingredients than what I typically would expect a mid-end restaurant. We went on a Saturday night, and over time it became fully occupied. Most of the tables were of the gray and blue hair variety, but there were a few diners in their 40's. Prices are moderate, and the wine list is very short. Service was off balance and it could be that they are a new restaurant or that it was too busy that night. After about 10-15 minutes, we were asked if we wanted bread. The ciabatta bread or at least the loaf I tried was very hard (turning stale) inside and I am of the belief that good or bad bread creates the impression for your overall experience (and meal). From an appetizer standpoint, table started with breaded clams- they were good. Also had mozzarella caprese, mozzarella was good (not high grade) and the tomatoes were hard, did not seem of the beefsteak variety, sliced thin and probably of low grade. Some of the table had pasta fagioli and then they ran out, so two diners were provided just made minestrone. All soups were ok, and although there was steam coming out, were not very hot. It did take roughly 30 minutes for the soup to arrive, and the table was hungry, but I personally had no complaint. The main courses are not priced like a high end Italian restaurant with many choices in the $ 14 to $ 16 range if one likes pasta or chicken. Chicken scarpariello was way too saucy and was strewn with red peppers- (OK), the chicken parmagiana was ok, chicken milanese (off menu- OK), gnocci (ok), and my chicken paillard with arrugala salad and very tiny cherry tomatoes was tasty and good, but seemed of the small Perdue chicken breast variety that one purchases at Publix. Also had a side of Rigatoni bolognese (with braised beef) which was good. Overall, it seems that the majority of my diners, would not go back, but the food is ok, and the majority of diners who were not at our table, seemed to enjoy the place. Bottom line- Ok, neighborhood fare.
