The place and service was good, overall was very clean and had a nice vibe, but the food was not at all what is was expected to be. We were all very disappointed in the food portions and the quality for such a hefty price as well. The chicken I received looked like it was pre packaged and came out cold-looking nothing like the picture. Right after, I experienced a terrible stomach ache. There was also no kimbap at a store literally named KIMBAP. I think that says a lot

i love gimbap/kimbop, depending on your korean pronunciation, so i was expecting a lot out of my first experience. the gimbap is premade and kind of mediocre nothing profound, the kitchen dishes are good i just feel like theyre expensive for what they are, which some of the menu feels half frozen or instant noodle prepared. so they sell you instant noodles for 4x the mark up price and add some spices and vegetables… idk it’s a good quick fast casual lunch spot but like i said just feels expensive for what it actually is

Great menu and pricing ; kids will enjoy the robot delivery system. Had spicy pork bulgogi and can’t wait to go back for all the dishes that we salivate over while watching our Korean dramas. Located next to the brewery - as this mall is strict on signage.

Kimbop has a serious identity problem. I have been there 3 times within the past 6 months. Maybe you can count as 4 times if I include the time I went without knowing they were closed for repair/restructure. *an update on the website or Yelp would've been helpful since they rarely update anything. THE GOOD - first visit I was excited to try Kimbop when they first opened because I mean come on ... the pricing was great and I love the selections of kimbop they offered. To have a robot to deliver your food, it gives us a unique experience. I ordered from the lunch menu which includes kimbop in a bento box. Since I live in Delray, I couldn't go there as often as I would like. THE OKAY - second visit A few months later, I learned they have closed to restructure the restaurant which I noticed they would reopen in October. A new wave of excitement came crashing down when I noticed they changed their model of business - self-made ramen station and grab and go kimbop. I am ready for it as they offer a new dining experience. Since I went there a bit late, they didn't have too many grab and go selections left for me so I went with the hot stone rice. It didn't disappoint, but I know I need to try the self-made ramen station next time. THE UGLY - third visit You know ramen is the perfect comfort food for cold weather. I got hit by disappointment after disappointment. First of all, they are actually closed an hour earlier than what they post on Yelp? It doesn't matter since I went there early for more selections of kimbop. Apparently, it doesn't matter because the fridge is still empty. Shockingly, the ramen station is gone so you are forced to order from their menu. I could've gone back to my old faithful - hot stone rice - but I am determined to get my ramen on. There are only 3 options only and none of them excites me. I ended up choosing Kimchi Ramyun that is around $15. I also grabbed a spicy chicken kimbop that looks smaller than last time. I tried Trader Joe's kimbop and it only costs less than $5. Frankly, I prefer TJ's kimbop although it doesn't have any meat. Good thing I ate it while I was waiting for the food to come out because it took them nearly 20 minutes to cook the noodle for me (the only customer). Every minute you wait, your expectation increases one level at a time. When they ramen came out, it was nothing but noodles, kimchi and soup. Give me a pot with water - I could've drove to the Publix across the street, bought some instant noodle, and cook it myself. I am usually easy going, but I left feeling angry and unsettled. WHY 2 STARS? The food is not bad. It is overpriced when your customer can make this for less time and money. I feel bad for them since they opened this place in the wrong location. They probably needed to promote themselves a lot more than other locations around FL. The ramen station would've been perfect around college area since students do not have as much money to spend and the are most likely k-pop fans. At the same time, they truly need to stick with one business model and have an identity before doing any promotion or it will frustrate people like me who do not like bait and switch. I get business owners have a tough job and they need to be flexible with changes that can generate profit. At this point, it seems like they are making decisions on a whim. I have never seen a company switches their core business within 6 months. Instead of removing the entire ramen station, why not reduce it to 2 machines only? If you are concern about filling the fridge with items so close to closing time, then why not follow the business model like Paris Morning - offer major discount on grab and go items before closing time. Or you can just offer it during certain hours so people can manage their own expectation instead of feeling disappointed. Since I don't live close by and their website does not reflect on what they offer (including business hours), I can't bring myself to go back there again.
