First time there was this past week - and I think we went 3 times. Great atmosphere and food - cold beer. Love that the kitchen is open late. Staff is very accommodating and friendly

Amazing food, great location, fair prices, wonderful service. Everyone I encountered was friendly and the fried pickles are the best I’ve ever had! Will definitely be back.

Wife and I had a wonderful meal! Waitstaff recommended the steak alfredo and she was not wrong! Very tender steak and delicious pasta sause. Service was wonderful and you need to save room for the homemade Key Lime pie - really good!

You learn a lot about a place when management ignores, then denies very real security issues on their premises. A group of us had a very real and dangerous problem here and they were completely uncaring and unresponsive. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere, not here at The Roofy.

This is a fun causal place to grab some good food. The Elvis pancakes are delicious. Their lunch menu has some yummy stuff as well. The grouper sandwich is one of our favorites.

Great place to go for breakfast as it was walking distance from the hotel. The bacon and eggs were prepared perfectly and the coffee was pleasant and hot. The service was friendly and the prices were lower than I would have expected for the food I received. I did notice a "bar crowd" was already there by 8am so if you're thinking about having a nice mimosa with your meal, this would be the place to go.

Recently returned from a Long Weekend/Getaway in the Madeira Beach area, and had two *completely different* experiences at The Reef. The first was an absolutely delightful Breakfast. Couldn't have been happier. We found it on a random Google search because we wanted something close and within walking distance from our Hotel. My girlfriend had her first experience with Eggs Benedict, with Crab Cakes, and was delighted. Absolutely great. I had a great, *BIG* plate of Biscuits & Sausage Gravy and the entire dish was great... the biscuits were great, the gravy was great, plenty of food for a very fair price. We sat at the semi-outdoor bar area and the Bartender who took care of us was also a delight ... Everything was great, great way to start a Birthday Getaway. We wound up returning for Dinner ... and it was a different experience. Maybe because it was much busier - we ate Breakfast later than the early crowd but earlier than the Lunch crowd, so it wasn't packed. Dinner was getting busy ... and just a total different experience. The Bartender , a younger, good-looking girl with an attitude, botched our order ... which normally is no problem, these things happen ... but she not only denied it, she confronted me ... "Like why would you lie and say you ordered Crab Cakes when you ordered Coconut (fried) Shrimp??" ... Well I actually specifically said 'the Crab Cake Dinner because it gave us two sides, so I could get the French Fries and she could have the Veggies [I am thinking she wanted Broccoli..]" No you didn't! ... Uhh... OK then ... I guess I didn't ... we'll just have this, no problem at all ... but then she couldn't let it go ... "I just don't understand why you'd say that when you didn't order Crab Cakes... " ... ok ... I guess someone took her aside and said "Yeah they did order the Crab Cake Dinner.." because she comes back 10 minutes later with a single crab cake. "Maybe I misheard you..." Yeah maybe ... I 101% don't agree with the whole "The Customer Is Always Right..." - it was BS whenever someone made that saying up, and still is today. But in this case, we were absolutely right, and she literally challenged me and got an attitude about ... I can see if the words are similar like "Cake & Bake" or "Dip & Chip" or something like that. Crab Cake Dinner doesn't sound like Coconut Fried Shrimp babe. And when you're paying $3 a soda to go with your expensive beers and $10 shots , it's nice to get what you actually ordered but it's not the end of the world. The woman who took care of us for Breakfast was 5 * * * * * , Dinner Chic 3-star * * * ....

After eating elsewhere, we decided to drink at The Reef since it was within walking distance from the condo. Wasn't room for 4 at the inside bar, so we waited to get seated for a table. No one came, so we just took a table. They gave us the drink menu, and we all ordered a mixed drink. I don't think there was any alcohol in them at all. Was the weakest drink I ever had. We cashed out and left. The drink was $10 for basiclly pineapple juice. This is the second time we've tried the reef, and both times, it was not good. When it was screwie louies, it was way better.

Our group of six arrived at about 7:30 on a Friday night. The main dishes were very tasty, which included the Crab Stuffed Grouper (stuffing tasted like crab!) the rack of ribs, the fish tacos and the Grouper dinner (not stuffed) We also found the hand made ranch dressing for the house salad notably good. The only food we found lacking was the deep fried corn on the cobb, which was not sweet at all. Our biggest complaint is that the music was very loud, so talking among ourselves (some of us over 65) was a major effort. The place is trying to be both a bar and a restaurant at the same time. I expect next time we will do take out from there.

We lived in the area 25 years and passed the Reef thousands of time and thought it was a typical tourist beach stop. Boy we’re we wrong.. The staff in particularly Piper knew the menu well, was very pleasant and made a few suggestions that were right on. The drinks were cold and averagely priced.Started off with mussels in marinara sauce. The sauce was outstanding the mussels were plump and steamed perfectly. My wife has shrimp tacos and I has shrimp fajitas. My only complaint is that the shrimp tails weren’t removed, but there was plenty of shrimp, fresh peppers and onions. My wife said here was very good, better than average. The prices were reasonable, not your typical beach got ya price. We will definitely be going back there again and will recommend the Reef to friends.

I would never recommend this place !!!! The bartender didn’t serve us alcohol while having our id in hand ..!! The bartending staff should be looked at closer !!! Trying to sell drugs while on the job is illegal

Our server Isabella was great, personable, funny, quick and attentive. My husband ordered the onion rings and bang bang shrimp which were delicious. The onion rings are HUGE, he liked them I did not. The bang bang shrimp was the perfect amount of spicy they were great. I ordered nachos with Chicken and it was delicious. Our drinks were spot on. I requested Hippie Juice cocktail which they happily made for me and my husband ordered a cocktal off the menu and the bartender was quick and fun! Great little spot to stop in at.

The waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu. She also wasn't all that friendly and didn't refill our drinks, but the food runner was friendly and was much more helpful. I was a little surprised they didn't have sweet tea, but that could just be my Georgia expectations and is normal for this part of Florida. The Lobster Fries were different and very good. The Blackened Salmon was also very good. The fish in the Fish and Chips was crispy and tasty. The fries were good. The Reef Burger was cooked as ordered with a good amount of pulled pork and bacon. The side mash potatoes and Tator Tots were good. The Cole Slaw had plenty of vinegar, so be prepared is that isn't your thing.
