Another great find in our new 'hood: Sushi Boat! Small hole in the wall w/ friendly service. The 1st place I've ever tried where the Spicy Tuna Roll actually had a kick! Plus the JB Roll wasnt nearly half cream cheese. My sister loved her Crunchy Salmon Roll & Udon as well.
With only a .2 mile distance to boot, I forsee this becoming our regular go to for sushi takeout in the area.

We stopped by here for lunch. The restaurant is tiny! Probably the smallest we've been to in a very long time. There are a few booths and a sushi counter and that's about it. There was only one gal dining in when we came, but they were doing a bit of takeout/pick up during the lunch hour while we were there. And there was one very friendly guy cooking the food and preparing the sushi and waiting on us -- all by himself. Parking is limited right outside the restaurant which is in a very small strip of stores and another restaurant. It's located on the west side of Cypress Road (18th) just south of the Publix grocery store. We'd been here once many years ago. And we frequent Calypso across the street. The menu is huge. It's about 6 pages long and there are a lot of combos and options from which to choose. There are cooked items as well as sushi. It was hard to decide what to have. My husband chose one of their lunch specials. It turned out to be two pieces of salmon, two pieces of tuna, and two shrimp plus a California roll. I chose their salmon crunch roll. We both added a house salad to start. We were told that the ginger dressing was house made -- and it was quite good. I loved my salmon crunch roll. I'd asked for the salmon to be cooked through and it was. This roll has no rice, but it has salmon, asparagus, cream cheese, and crab meat all in a tempura batter. It was delicious with a bit of eel sauce. The prices here are pretty reasonable, as well. If you like to support local businesses and you are in the area, this place is well worth a visit. We know we will be back more often when craving sushi.

I have been eating at Sushi Boat for about 7 years, The food is consistently good, Great service. The restaurant has a Nice cozy atmosphere. It is mostly take out so not a lots of people.

I like the shrimp rolls best although all of the food is very good, The service is good, very accommodating. It is not a large place which means faster service and less people. Its a quiet relaxed environment.

Ignore all previous reviews. This place should be closed. Do NOT EVER go here. The place was empty, the food was horrible. It was absolutely a terrible, horrible place. I'm not joking. I flew in from SFO, hungry, went here and deeply, deeply regretted it. This place should be closed. I was their only customer all night, for good reason.

Had delivery for NYE. One fried rice, one steak and chicken teppan yaki and one chirasha bowl. All of the food was delicious. The stir fried rice was perfectly seasoned and had that lovely char from the flat top. The sushi was fresh and great quality. It was our first time ordering from them but we will definitely be repeat customers.

This is the kind of place that you'd expect to find in LA, NY, or Paris. A hole in the wall, owned by a gracious immigrant couple, with food that far exceeds what you'd expect, at a reasonable price. Clearly they know their culture's food. So pleased I found them. Ignore any previous old reviews. They hired a top-notch chef and it shows in the food. ?
