Location and atmosphere are lovely. Beautiful view of the beach. Sushi is underwhelming and overpriced (and small). If you want quality sushi, look elsewhere. If you want a really nice spot to spend a couple hours while blowing money on drinks, then this may be your spot.

The website describes this as an experience, so me being curious I had to see what the experience was about for myself! It is omakase style which basically means you're in the hands of the chef. I'm not a picky eater so this was no problem for me, if you are however a picky eater I suggest you choose another option. This was a multi course meal and they even have a bougie upgrade which includes more options. This location I went to is closed but the other location In Fort Lauderdale is still open and I saw they had a deal for dine out Fort Lauderdale!

Right now, they are running a Lauder Deals dinner for $45, 12-course omakase. For what it is, this is a steal. There are certainly better omakases around town, but you cannot beat this deal. Overall, the sushi was very good, some pieces better than others. Some highlights were the Otoro, hamachi, and hotate. The view was great, and the vibe was super casual, which was nice for a change. No BS, come in, eat your omakase, and take in the view. The staff was fantastic, and even accommodating to a few asks for one of our guests, eg no wasabi, swap the uni, etc. We were also to add a few pieces afterwards, a la carte. We tried a couple of rolls and apps, as well, but I wouldn't bother getting those again. The price, atmosphere, and service make this place exactly what it should be - an affordable omakase with a great view. $7 valet with validation. Will definitely be coming back.

Omakase by the sea! Interesting little spot located inside the Marriott Residence Inn. The sushi bar has about 8 seats and is located indoors but looks right out to the ocean. I recommend getting there during daylight if you want the view. There is a limited menu besides the omakase... some sushi and other American items. For omakase, you need to reserve in advance with a credit card. You can choose from the $50 12 course or $100 17 course option. Each course is a piece of nigiri. The seatings are strictly one hour. Our reservation was for 8pm and we were running just a few minutes late. At 8pm the phone rings asking us where we were. When we answered that we were literally three minutes away we were told they would "start plating". Two chefs prepared the meal for us and four others. The nigiri came out at a steady pace and at 8:50pm we were told our last course was coming and since they were getting ready for another seating, if we wanted to order more, we could move to a table. Yes, I did feel rushed. The meal itself? High quality sushi prepared well. I found most of the nigiri to be fairly basic, without many surprises. I have been to several omakase meals now and I find those with just nigiri to be a little boring. Would be much nicer if they threw in a couple of dishes without rice and dessert!!!! I guess the price point is not bad for what you get. Would definitely recommend for a tourist who wants to experience omakase on the beach. If you live here and do not care about the view, there might be better omakase options.

Wagyu Beef with Black Truffle shavings. This was one of the courses of the Omakase menu at the Sushi by Bou. So worth it to enjoy!!!! Chef's Thomas and Brandon are masters at their craft behind the Sushi bar, very down to earth as well. Chris the GM is on point with his staff, very hands on. Server Sasha was a sweetheart and very helpful as well, with us having to move inside abruptly due to the rain. Bartender Renee makes a mean cocktail! They validate parking which saves some money there. It is tucked away in the rear of the Residence Inn by Marriott so be on the lookout. I hope this helps some of you out there, like I said before so worth going.

Wonderful service. Sushi was super fresh and delicious. Christie (our server) was incredible. Highly recommend for a nice evening out. ***Go when it's light out, Sunset time to enjoy/appreciate the view.

Sushi was pretty good! We had the tuna, shrimp tempura, and a bougie roll. The service was also fantastic the waitress and bartender were great people and gave us great suggestions of things to do and see. Love the views and being by the beach!

This is a beautiful little cafe with excellent service. To be honest, the food from the kitchen was way better than the sushi. The blackened grouper sandwich was delicious, as was the Korean hot dog. The sweet potato fries were maybe the best we ever had. The sushi we ordered, including the surf and turf roll, were overpriced, lifeless and bland. It made us sorry we ordered it at all. Stick with the kitchen menu and you will enjoy this place much more.

We went for our anniversary, we always choose to go somewhere that has food we don't prepare at home. We reserved seats at the Sushi Bar for the Omakase menu. The fish was very fresh and delicious, prepared in front of us by an excellent sushi chef. Each of the 12 sushi courses was presented with a description and explanation of ingredients. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Go early and have a cocktail in the beachside garden. We will definitely return. KWnPB

Probably the best Sushi place on the South East coast of Florida. Spectacular decor with outside seating. Go there earlier and have a cocktail in the garden, watching the Ocean. Service was perfect. Sushi was out of this world. We had the larger Omakase, and would have stayed for another serving. The hotel has valet parking. If you're in South East Florida, this is a must. Anything else we tried is either decent or mediocre.

If you like sushi, you gotta come here! We came here 2 out of our 4 nights in town. Sushi are so fresh, made right in front of you.The ingredients are from Japan, Canada, Australia just to name a few. Choice of $50 or $100 omakase. Sounds steep but it's definitely worth it.If you aren't a big fan of raw food, their pizza and hamburger are very good too.Cocktails are amazing! Just on the spot not weak nor too strong.

Good omakase experience. The other food looked good too though I didn't order anything outside of the omakase. The staff was very friendly and the ambience was great. Right on the beach.

Got the bougie 17 course sushi meal with my wife and I. My wife found it on tik tok and wanted to try it. The atmosphere was horrible. We sat at a bar with loud Latin music coming from the pool. We felt like we were at the Latin pool party eating sushi. The service was one of the worst we've ever had. They gave us sparkling water when we didn't even order it, then charged us for it. And they couldn't even keep our water glasses full. They then served everyone shots which tasted horrible. The shots tasted surgery and not everyone finished them. The server barely came by to check up on us. We would had rather of sat at a table closer to the beach and enjoyed a small dinner then at the bar. For the money that we paid we expected better service and nicer atmosphere paired with good food. Not worth it at all. Don't waste your time.

Sushi by Bou Beach Club at the Residence Inn, Pompano Beach. Leisurely outdoor early dinner overlooking the ocean. Pretty much catering to the hotel guests, typical pool fare stuff with sandwiches, burgers, salads, straightforward sushi rolls. They have an omakase but I wouldn't call the fish selection particularly interesting. It's not a destination sushi place by any stretch of the imagination but food quality is solid. Family friendly. Very nice if you can sit outside and the weather accommodates. They do have indoor seating but the star is the patio. $7 valet parking.

Unless your staying at the hotel this sushi place is ultimately just for hospitality convenience for the guest staying at the hotel. I would not go out of my way.. walked in. Walked out. If it's a sushi restaurant any sushi bar should be larger then 4 ft. That's all I'm going to say.
