Worst pastries I've ever tried. Basically just a thin layer of meat with 90% of the rest composed of pastry. I purchased 3 different kinds and they were all the same; they also lacked flavor. I would not recommend this place.

Located in the Palm Aire Marketplace, Voils Bamery & take-out Restaurant is small; serving various Haitian dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, hot & cold beverages, sides, and bakery items. Not only was the young male friendly, bit so was the rest of the employees. Two women came out of what I assume the food is being prepared and greeted me with smiles. The place was not busy so it was very quiet with Haitian music playing on two large screen tvs hanging on the walls.Once I received the food, I took it to sample inside my vehicle. First I tried the black rice. Was cooked to a soft consistency and had a unique taste. My only problem was it needed some sauce. I don't like eating my rice dry. Next was the griot. It was very plentiful. Nice big chunks of pork fried nicely where the outside had a crispy texture, yet the meat was very tender and flavorful. The plantains was not sweet and tasted like a chewy tostones. As much as I love plantains, I wasn't really feeling these plantains, but I ate them anyway. There was also a small salad with no dressing or vinaigrette and a tiny container of pikliz. I took a little taste and instanly my mouth was filled with a burning sensation. OOOOOH THIS Sugar Honey Ice Tea IS HOTTTT! I yelled. When the burning sensation went away after two minutes, I pushed the pikliz aside and started picking at the dry salad. I ate till I felt full. I was given a lot of food so I have enough for leftovers. For my first time eating Haitian food, it was decent. May want to return to try their bakery items

I was walking along the stores in the Palm Aire Marketplace when I stopped at Voila Bakery & take-out Restaurant checking out the menu posted on the window. Suddenly a young male inside the restaurant was waving at me to come inside. When he saw I wasn't budging; he came by the door, opened it, and told me to come in to try their food. I mentioned that I never had Haitian food and he recommended for me to try griot...(fried pork served with black rice and fried plantain)...and guaranteed the food was good. Since I was hungry I decided to take him up on the offer. The restaurant is small; serving various Haitian dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, hot & cold beverages, sides, and bakery items. Not only was the young male friendly, but so was the rest of the employees. Two women came out of what I assume the food is being prepared and greeted me with smiles. Voila Bakery is a hidden gem that exceeded all expectations! The griot and pickles were not just a meal but a culinary journey. The flavors were a perfect blend of savory and spice. The freshness and heat were on point. The staff went beyond being attentive. Their warmth and exceptional service was honestly and 10 out 10. I was pleasantly surprised that Voila was not just a bakery but also had some of my favorite savory dishes. I will definitely be back again! In addition, I really loved and appreciated how fast and efficient the service was. It was like they anticipated my every need. This bakery is more than a place to eat, it's an immersive delight for the senses. Highly, highly recommended!

We stopped by to check out this new bakery/take out restaurant after we'd eaten lunch nearby. We were searching for something "sweet". We wound up getting one item. So it's really 3 stars for the "food" and an extra star for the very friendly service and sales skills of the young guy behind the counter. Let me explain a bit more the above paragraph. We were looking in the window and reading the meal specials that they offer. They have a list posted of the cooked meals available, day by day. They have breakfast as well as entrees of island/Haitian fare. And as we were reading, the gentlemen came out to greet us with a broad smile. We explained we were looking for something sweet to have as dessert. He escorted us inside and showed us all the items he had available that were close to that category pointing out where they were in the bakery counters. He was a good salesperson. We wound up getting a ginger biscuit to share. This was somewhere between a muffin and a cookie. It looked like and had the texture of a soft bun and tasted like a spice cake. As we took more bites, the real ginger bits made themselves known. If you like ginger, this is for you. I think we'd like to try one of their regular breads...and maybe a couple of the meals (we like griot and oxtail). Some of those other foods listed will need to be researched a bit more. I'm glad we stopped by to check them out and hope they do well. Je vous souhaite beaucoup de succes.

I recently stopped by this newly opened Caribbean Restaurant (Voila Bakery & Take-Out) on the corner of Powerline and W Atlantic. I ordered a Bouillon. It was one the best Bouillon EVER. The dumpling was very FIRM and the Yuca was unexpected but spot on. The definition of a great food for me is when you are sweating in your upper lip (aka mustache) while you are eating it. It's a 5 Stars. I will definitely go back.

After shopping in the store next door, while walking to my car and noticed the light on and what had been an empty storefront. I decided to check it out and boy was I glad! I met Voila as she opened the door to the bakery and the smell alone drew me in! Her personality was a plus. She says her bread is best with butter, but it's so good you can just eat it hot and plain! I love supporting small, family owned businesses. She just opened less than a week ago so come check her out, you'll thank me after you do! Yum!!!
