If you have been struggling to find a good asian takeaway place…this is it!! We ordered to go but dined in. We purchased two bento boxes, shrimp tteokbokki, pork buns, beef yakisoba, two types of sushi, and 3 boba teas! The service was great, the atmosphere was very nice, the restaurant was VERY clean… now for the most important….The portions were huge! The food was great! The Tteobokki was soft and chewy(I could drink the sauce). We all agreed the Boba’s were the best we have ever had in our lives. They were cool, refreshing, creamy, perfectly sweet, the boba’s was soft and delicious. I don’t typically like brown sugar but this was amazing! The price I paid and the amount of food was very fair! We will be returning!!Kid-friendliness: Kid’s menu. Very welcoming

My family loves this place! We've been 5+ times in the past couple months; every time we each got a different dish each time. So far there was only ONE dish I didn't love but the servings are large enough to share, I shared with 2 other family members whose dishes I did love. This is our new go to for take out. Hot, fresh, and fast!

Friday afternoon, my wife and I tried EkiBen House  right next to Little Caesars Pizza and behind Metro Diner at 19400 Cochran Blvd Unit #2, Port Charlotte. It's kind of tucked away and hard to see, but it is well worth checking out.The first thing we noticed when we walked in is that the place is spotlessly clean.  It's not a large place with only about 10 tables.  The ordering counter is straight to the back and slightly to the right.  They have paper menus at the counter, but you can also look on the wall asn they have their most popular dishes displayed. One thing to note, their menu is extensive and they have several proteins that are prepared about the same way, but displayed differently.  It will take some time for me to understand all this since I am unfamiliar with Japanese foods. As far as I can tell, this is pretty authentic fare.My wife does not like much spice, but ordered the honey chicken with sweet and hot sauce.   She ordered the sauce on the side.  I ordered Beef and Broccoli.  However, I like hot and spicy food and the server suggested some hot chili oil, which was a good call!  BTW, the service was GREAT and the staff was very friendly and helpful when we had questions.  I also ordered the Miso Soup and some fried Gyoza (I've never had that) They also gave us some free apps of a couple of spring rolls and a couple of dumplings of fried milk.  Never had that either, but it is TASTY!  In fact, everything was great.  It was not oily and if anything, if kind of was a little but bland.  My suspicion is that is how Japanese food is, and to spice things up, you would put on their sauces.  They have more than we tried, I just have to get used to what they have. We will be back!  The portion sizes were large and the price was VERY reasonable.  Like us, I know you would like it if you tried it.  It is definitely different from Chinese food, but that is a GOOD THING when you want to try Japanese cuisine. Check them out.  You will be happy you did!

Tried this place for the first time. We got sushi, fried, and curry chicken. It was a little wait for the good, but it was definitely worth it .

I love this place! They have the best poke and boba tea around. The staff is very friendly, really wonderful people. Their prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I’ve ordered take out from Ekiben many times over the past year and the quality is always excellent.

Fried rice and teriyaki chicken. The rice was cooked with water and a little soy sauce mixed in, then they added 2 peas and 2 slices of carrots, no oil. The chicken, pan fried, plain, then sliced and a little sauce over it, what kind of sauce...I have no idea.
