The sign in the window says, "Try Our World Famous Homemade Biscuits and Gravy." Well, I don't know about world famous, but the biscuits and gravy are indeed downhome great and well worth a visit. The gravy is a tasty nutty brown with a generous amount of ground sausage. But the stars of the plate are the biscuits. Fluffy and scratch baked, they beat the commissary hockey pucks that are on offer in pretty much every other breakfast joint in the area. But be warned. Show up early, as she often sells out!

We have gone several times and love the food. My daily favorite is the biscuits and gravy which I can only say you have to try it as words don't do it justice. Food is made one table at a time fresh which is rare.

The food was unreal. Biscuits and gravy were as good as they said, eggs and bacon were made exactly how I like them. My grandma got the spinach and cheddar quiche and said it was delicious, the toasted fresh made banana bread that came with it was one of those extra special touches that make you want to keep coming back. You can stop looking for a breakfast place now, you found it

I had you most perfect hamburger of my life here!. Was cooked perfectly, bun was noticeably soft and fresh, I ordered with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and no cheese.

I had the opportunity to visit for the 1st time yesterday morning and wanted to take a moment to review. I saw a recommendation to try this place for breakfast and was intrigued by so many comments on the biscuits and gravy. I am absolutely in agreement that they are excellent! Not sweet. A little spicy. Perfect sausage gravy!I have to also note that my basted eggs were cooked to perfection also and this is a very difficult thing for most people to do.Atmosphere was as if you walked into a riverside restaurant with no frills. Extremely laid back and they even had a black and white episode of Leave it to Beaver playing on the t.v.Service is friendly and the food is excellent. If your in the area, stop in and treat yourself to a real home cooked breakfast.

I had the Philly cheese steak, chips and a pickle with an ice tea . The sandwich was made quick and came hot. It was good. The service was great. It is a great little diner. The pickle wasn't the best. But ok.

Love Mean Jeanne's. Great food full of flavor. Nothing fancy but the food is awesome.

The ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I think they used too much spices or seasoning maybe? Not sure, maybe too much black pepper? Whatever was used, a little too spicy for me. I am a big baby when it comes to spicy. Even Taco Bell is too spicy for me, lol. Our server was Jennifer, and she was really nice and cool. I would definitely recommend AND go there again. Yummy.

I have been passing this place for over 3 years. Today I stopped and had the best Cheesesteak ever! Ordered French fries and was blown away. This is the great find of a lifetime. Fries were cut from fresh potatoes, the steak was from rib-eye roast. The food is fresh, the meats are from a butcher. No food is bought from the big restaurant suppliers. Met the owner Jennifer and the best cook ever, Audrey. You will be amazed with the quality of food, atmosphere, and attention to details for your orders. I have now made this “off the beaten path” place my weekly standing order.
