I used to love going to Sweet's Diner until I had an experience today which put a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered an omelet and my coworker went to pick it up, came back with a receipt that was NOT broken down but stated the total was $18.41. The receipt didn't break down the cost, just said the total (1st red flag). When I looked at the menu online (which said it was updated March 2024) my total should have been $12.77. I called to ask why the charges were high and told they JUST changed the prices yesterday (conveniently) and haven't updated them online. So they upped the omelet price $5.64?! I will not be going back with the shady practice of giving me a receipt with a number on it and not a break down. It's also 2024 so they should either update their prices online first or honor the online prices. It all just felt sketch. Be aware !

OMG this place is the dirtiest places in Port Charlotte, it is apparent there is no board of health. I was seated at the counter and watch biscuits & gray come Back as it was a wrong order and the COOK SCRAPPED THE TOPPING BACK INTO THE PAN. WE R DONE

Melissa was our server and she was phenomenal. Always checking on us, keeping the drinks refilled and had whatever we needed. Perfect spot for breakfast. Any pile up is amazing but we recently had the crab cake one and the crab cake was amazing. Corned beef hash was also really great. Melissa even knew to ask if we wanted it extra crispy! Definitely worth a try if you've never eaten here. 10/10
