Coastal Grill and Raw Bar is a convenient restaurant for both residents of Port Orange, Florida and travelers heading up or down Interstate 95. Coastal Grill and Raw Bar is located on Dunlawton Avenue which leads to an exit on Interstate 95 and is pretty much the main road heading east and west in Port Orange, Florida. The place has a pretty cool ambiance, it definitely enhances the overall dining experience. The service is friendly and professional. This also enhances the dining experience. The menu is a bit eclectic. Seafood and barbecue on the same menu seems a bit of a stretch, but it is what it is. The New England clam chowder was a great start to the meal. I am a huge fan of New England clam chowder and Coastal Grill and Raw Bar has a pretty solid New England clam chowder. For my main entree, I went with the fried seafood platter. Nothing spectacular, but nothing terrible either. I was between three and four stars, but went with four stars mainly for the service and the ambiance. The food I would probably go with three stars.

My daughter, wife and I visited Coastal last night for my birthday. This was not our first time. However it was our best. The food as always is incredible. I love the lobster mac and cheese. My wife has been unwell lately and truly loved her soup, it was the most she has eaten in the last two weeks. But what we loved the most. Truly the best part was our server Brianna. My daughter is a manager for a restaurant in Orlando and even she was impressed. This young lady was a delight. She cares about her guest. We never felt unwelcome or a bother. The next time we are in we will be asking for her.

Visited for Valentines Day dinner. Ordered dinner drinks At 7:15 pm and we were advised they were out of Michelob Ultra (poor inventory planning for Valentines Day). Received appetizer and had to ask waitress for silverware and napkins. Waitress stated they were out of clean silverware but she did come back with silverware a few minutes later (not sure if it was clean). The waitress eventually provided cocktail napkins to use for dinner napkins. Food arrived at table and we had not received our salads yet, salads never did arrive at the table. Ordered filet medium rare it was cooked to medium well. Attempted to address the overcooked steak with the waitress but she walked away mid conversation. Spoke with manager and he offered to remove salads we never received and over cooked filet from our bill. Received bill, the filet had been removed but the $11.00 for salads we never received was still on the bill. Had to address charges with him again. We experienced total incompetence from everyone we came into contact with especially the waitress. Restaurant does have a nice atmosphere and a very diverse menu.

We were visiting my son at Embry-Riddle for Family Weekend and decided to stop in based on reviews. We had everything from Shrimp Cocktail, Raw Oysters, Lobster Mac-n-Cheese, to the Salmon entree and it was all prepared perfectly. Price point was reasonable and the service was great! Would definitely go back just so we could try other delicious sounding options…Buffalo shrimp, Shrimp & Grits.

Our friends invited us to join them for a small celebration at Coastal Grill and Raw Bar, back on May 30, 2021. The restaurant is upper scale, yet the food is priced fairly. The interior is gorgeous! I love the open-kitchen concept, comfortable seating, and use of lighting to enhance the beautiful slate gray bar, wooden slat ceiling, and plank tile floors. Coastal Grill is a perfect place to take your family, friends, or date for a special night out without breaking the bank, although I am sure that can be accomplished with a few bottles of wine. Our server, Briana, was wonderful. Some guests in our party had allergies and Briana was able to make accommodations for their needs. Briana was also very responsive to refreshing our drinks and bringing other items as needed. We ordered the bowl of New England Clam Chowder ($7), Brisket Platter ($13.20), Entre Ahi Tuna ($10), Coastal Bread ($5.50), and several coastal Red Ales ($3-each). The Chowder was the highlight of the meal, lots of clam chunks and potatoes; very hardy and tasty. Honestly, I could have just eaten a pot of the chowder with a half loaf of Coastal Bread and been happy. The Brisket Platter was good but the meat was a bit tougher than what I liked. Also, it was covered entirely in sauce; I like to add sauce as needed. The asparagus that came with the brisket was perfectly cooked and the slaw was good too, but I wish it came with a little more. The Entre Ahi Tuna was phenomenal, all of the ingredients were fresh and delicious! I enjoyed marveling at my mini taco watermelon radish slices filled with Ahi tuna, edamame, fresh veggies drizzled with soy/sesame seed dressing before devouring them in all of their beauty. The Coastal Red is a perfect choice if you like Reds; bold, flavorful, and goes down so easy in those frosted glasses. If you have never been to Coastal Grill and Raw Bar, I recommend you stop in and try them out. If I lived in Daytona Beach, I would frequent this restaurant for lunch. Their Lunch Pick-2 special offers a choose two items: Soup, Salad, and main course for $9.99, and the draft beer prices are unbeatable ($3-$6.50); I will be back.

It's okay. Pretty much average food. I wouldn't come here again if I had other choices. Oysters were small. Only thing I enjoyed was the clam chowder. Everything else was bland and no flavor. Nice presentation with the fish though!
12/26/2021 @ 8:00PM We finally decided to try this place, and what a disappointment. Management, wake up! The service was decent however, the food presentation and flavor need much improvement. We ordered a cup of NE clam chowder, 2 x house salads with blue cheese, the j*** chicken bowl and blackened chicken pasta. The chowder was just okay, the salads had a goat cheese flavor, the black chicken had very little flavor and was bland, the j*** chicken bowl was dry, and the avocado was brownish. This could be a much better place. We had a bottle of wine and did not have a chance to try a mixed drink. We have no intentions on returning, and we will not recommend this place.

Do not understand why a regular patron while in the restaurant eating would not be extended the internet bonus amount, especially when purchasing $1k worth. If it were not for some amazing people there would probably really-think our selection.

came here for the first time and they have the craziest things on the menu that you have to try : Pb&J duck wings for example, are freaking delicious and would definitely get again.
