This restaurant is amazing. Traveling from Fort Lauderdale to South Carolina. I asked Google where is the best place to have sushi sushi 99 was it? I didn’t know I wanted a delicious soup when you walk in. It’s a first thing you’re offered like welcome home ordered to JB roll one of the best I’ve had, if anyone needs sushi, this is the place to come

I liked it all. We had never been here before. ALL the food was freshly prepared and delicious. We especially enjoyed the Dynamite roll. The chill vibe/atmosphere was welcome and our server was right on top of everything. We will be going back!Kid-friendliness: We were able to get a high chair for our little and order from the kid's menu. The food was also freshly prepared and had good flavor.

We have been coming here for years. Ever since they first opened… Their food has been so disgusting lately. We try very few months, and it’s just been so gross the last few times idk if I ever want to go back. The udon is always slimy now. The sushi is ight. Definitely white person Asian food. There are so many other places to get actually GOOD food…

I can sum this review up in one word "GREAT"You won't be disappointed.
Had a “service fee” of 18% of the bill. Did not noticed it until after tipping and leaving. It was a 6 person order. Just wanted to let people know to check your bill for the service fee. It’s a gratuity.

Well my Christmas dinner I was disappointed. Frequent this place ALOT and ordered sushi and two steak hibachis. The sushi was good like normal but the steak hibachi meals were horrible. Absolutely no flavor AT ALL and the steak was super tough. I also asked for sriracha that was not in the order. I even called to give them a chance to make it right but couldn't even give me an apology. Sad to say will not go here no more ever again. I didn't want nothing for free but atleast an apology would've been nice. Two stars instead of one because the sushi was good.

We watched party after leave without ever speaking to a person. Floors slick with grease. Food was OK. Save your hard-earned money.

Very friendly staff. Received a complimentary soup upon arrival. Delicious. Gyoza was very good. Choose a few rolls... Lots to choose from on the menu. Fried Oreo desert.. yum!! Would def recommend.

We did not eat there, we attempted to order via GrubHub+. We were at my son's house in Port Orange. An order was dropped off just before the delivery time, but it was a much smaller order. Our order was nearly $150 and this order was only 2 items. We tried contacting GrubHub who just wanted to issue a refund and be done with it, but we were hungry. GrubHub attempted to contact the driver and the restaurant and then after having us on hold for quite a while said they still suggest a refund and can't reach the driver. We called Sushi 99 on Dunlawton and they were so friendly and accommodating!!! They redid our order, ready in 15-20 minutes. This time we picked it up ourselves! To the food - this sushi was all very fresh and the sashimi cuts were generous. We got the Sashimi Deluxe, spicy tuna roll, (both in "the other order") and the following: 3. Yellowtail Roll 4. Spicy Tuna Roll 10. Alaska Roll 11. Spicy Scallop Roll 5. Salmon Skin & Cucumber Roll 12. Spicy Scallop Sushi (very generous topping, could not fit in my mouth!) 8. Rainbow Roll - large and fresh 6. Conch sashimi 23. Amazing Roll - probably our favorite with eel They were out of spicy tobiko unfortunately. I recommend all these selections. Except maybe the conch. I ordered it to try, and it didn't taste like much. This place is also not overly expensive and has a lot of variety on the menu, but not so much to make you worry about the quality. Quality was good, price was nice, service was nice.

Food is always excellent here - they do a good job on presentation along with the freshness. First time having a poke bowl and it was so good. Highly recommend the sushi 99 roll as well - Okay pricing so maybe use it for your spouse date night only location.
