I had the most unusual, delicious treat there. It was pulled pork, which was flavored to perfection, sandwiched in between two very large maduros. Who knew bananas could be used for a sandwich,. It was delicious.

The food is good and tasty, the prices are reasonable. The only negative is that they had just one waitress.

As a Puerto Rican I can say, the food taste is authentic. Time and love are put into each individual meal. I took my special needs class there for lunch and they were great and gave us a lunch deal.

So this restaurant is NOT closed. My boyfriend got us food from here to go and their online menu was completely different from their menu inside. They claim it's "Puerto rican American cuisine". And the food wasn't good. N o t h i n g like Puerto Rican food, we're both Puerto rican and wouldve been better off cooking at home. They use sage or some kind of herb in their rice and makes it taste middle eastern. Oh and they told him it was $21 something dollars and charged my card $36 dollars!! Honestly this place is a rip off and not worth it. La primera serves food as long as groceries and has waaay better prices on ridge theres another Puerto rican place there too that I'm sure has far better food.

This place is closed. Went there during lunch hours. The door was locked and the place was gutted (no tables, no chairs).

Happened to see the Restaurant sign en route to the bank. My Dad (98 yrs old) and I decided we would stop for a late lunch one we finished running our errands. When we walked in, we noticed the restaurant was empty yet impeccably clean. The host/server greeted us and brought over menus and silverware after we sat down. We ordered refresco de tamarindo and the chuleta frita (fried pork chop) with arroz y habichuelas (rice and beans). The fried pork chop was HUGE and very well seasoned. The rice and beans were savory and very tasty. As we finished our meal, the cook/owner came out and asked how our food was. We were delighted to offer our positive feedback. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting some good Puerto Rican food.

I've been looking for authentic Spanish food in my area for a while now and no place really felt like home ..... now the search is over !!! once I came to this place I feel like I was back at my Abuelas house !!! The food was so good i can't help but to go back again and again ....it's made fresh with the homemade warm feeling with each and every bite ..... I highly recommend this place it literally saves you the trip to flying to Puerto Rico ....the service was great aswell very hospitable and attentive everything was on point can't wait to share this experience with my friends and family

I ordered breaded chicken with rice and beans and an empanada off of DoorDash... first off the chicken was so burnt it was completely black and rubbery! Completely inedible.. the rice and beans tasted OK except the fact that the next day I felt like I had food poisoning, throwing up and diarrhea! Took one bite of a chicken with peppers and onion empanada and it tasted like the unimaginable and dripped of grease! Maybe I ordered too late in the day and got the left over scraps.. but even still I would never eat here again! To add insult to injury I was not even able to receive a refund!
