We have been to the restaurant at least 20 times. Food quality has definitely gone down. Service was also extremely poor. I had the pork chops and rice. Should have been good. But they were not full chops, extremely thin, tough and dry. Prices have also gone up (of course), that is fine but for poor quality food and non attentive service equals two stars.

Good, huge portions. This place was able to accommodate a very last minute group of thirteen. The food was decent and portions were huge. Many of us shared meals, and those that didn’t, definitely took home leftovers. Table side guacamole was really good, jalapeño poppers were okay, all other meals were tasty. Service was quick, but the waitress was spread thin with way too many tables to tend to for a busy Saturday afternoon. She still a decent job and was really friendly. My only complaint is that it was extremely hot inside the building; all of us were visibly sweating and uncomfortable.

Stopped by for a quick lunch while on vacation. Both service and food were excellent. Huge portions. Will definitely be back.

First off, I've been here 10 times. They rotate bartenders so you have to wait your turn, even if one is free. Sometimes you wait 10 minutes, which is poor service. Then you order and they walk away. Huh? So you wait 15 minutes patiently. And I speak Spanish, I'm a good tipper in cash and dress nicely. And I'm a woman, so let's put that out there. I've had a variety of their margaritas. Only last night I realized I'm paying for crappy Monty Alban, not Reposado, Jose Curevo, Don Julio, but just Monty Alban, in all of them. That's against the liquor laws! Each one has certain ingredients, yet they use the same cheap stuff in each one. I called the guy on it last night and he argued with me that it didn't matter. Sure it matters. If you order a large at $16.99, you should get more than 1.5 jiggers too, not of Monty Alban either. That's not even listed in any of their drinks! Next, I ordered the carnitas, which over the course of my 60 years I can't even count how many times I have had, I've lived in Mexico, been to Mexico, lived in San Diego, Laguna, been to taco trucks, made it, on and on. Never before have I had chunks that were 3 inches by 4 inches, not shredded. Ever. I asked for it to be extra crispy. Nope. Asked for extra onions got maybe two straps and was charged $2 on my bill. Four days ago I saw a guy ask for extra onions and he got a whole plate! What? Then I ordered a small draft beer. By this time my left overs were on the counter. Mind you I had one margarita and one small beer all night. My bag of leftovers was in front of me, purse on my knee. There was maybe a 1/4 cup left of beer in my cup and it accidentally tipped over because of the bag. I asked for another and they said No! What? Are you kidding? I've tried calling the manager three times to complain and he is mysteriously never there. So here is a nasty review to let everyone know you use cheap tequila, have bad customer service, and now everyone knows to watch how they pour, what tgey pour and maybe the Board will get notified on Monday. Time to answer my opine calls before it escalates!

Always busy which shows that normally this is a great restaurant, BUT, as always there can be times when they simply fail you. On a recent visit, they were packed as always and I ordered the 3 shrimp tacos. When they were served, they were served flat and over lapping each other, so there was no way that you could really eat one without making a huge mess. Then on 3 tacos, there were 7 small shrimp, yes you read that right 2 shrimp per taco. So this simply was not their night. I pointed this out to the waiter, but they were to busy to do anything about it. Yes I would go back again for previously I have had a good experience.

The reviews about this place are proof that Mass Formation Psychosis is a real thing! This place is LOUD LOUD LOUD!!!! Did I mention this place is loud? I still cannot hear after being in this restaurant. This is not a joke. If someone wants to go there drop them off in the parking lot and drive away. Fasting for the night is a better option than suffering the noise.

Great lunch during our brief visit to the area! Clean restaurant, friendly staff and delicious food! Table side guacamole, carne asada, and grilled chicken tacos were all fresh and delicious. I knew we were in good hands when we were seated and realized the restaurant was full of people speaking Spanish. I figured if the Latin community approved then we certainly would too, and we were not disappointed.

After a few trips to Mexico, my wife and I have been consistently disappointed by most Mexican restaurants in the US. Some come close, but most are way off the mark. Casa Amigos may be as close at it gets! Great atmosphere, beautiful and clean restaurant and friendly staff!! The table side guacamole was very good but the Carne Asada (me) and the grilled chicken tacos (her) were fantastic! Definitely worth your time to stop if you are in the area visiting. If you are local, how do you not know about this gem already?!?!

Best Authentic Mexican restaurant we’ve been to - and we’ve been to many in Texas and all over the US. Huge menu, great margaritas, and awesome food. The table side guacamole was the best we’ve ever had! The Burrito California with steak was amazing, and HUGE.

We knew this place would be good when you walk in and everyone was waiting to be seated. My wife had the Pescado baja which is Mahi-mahi with grilled shrimp, spinach and mushrooms in a wine sauce. It was served with white rice and black beans. The main part was fantastic but the beans and rice tasted like they came from standard store bought items. I had the Cabo Chimichanga which was a tortilla filled with shrimp, onions and peppers and topped with a cheese sauce. It came with large slices of summer squash and zucchini and rice. This was a very filling dish and the large vegetables were steamed just right. The service was very friendly and on time. The prices were also reasonable considering the portions.

Came here for lunch, there were 12 of us. Staff was courteous, prompt with taking food orders, everything was accurate. Food was fine, nothing exceptional. I wasn’t knocked over by my meal, garlic shrimp, in fact, it was bland. Two members in our party ordered the grande burritos. They enjoyed them. Another member had a coated fish, mahi-mahi possibly, said it was good. One dessert some kind of ice cream in a tortilla bowl was the hit. 3 of those were ordered. Prices here are a bit steep.Would I come here again, probably not.

Visited this restaurant with family expecting authentic Mexican food as advertised, disappointed!! Far from been authentic, ordered while verse plate I could not find chile verse salsa it all, my daughter ordered Chile's rellenos far for what chiles rellenos is all about, music is very loud, almost no employee wear mask ( covid) customer doesn't know if they are vaccinated it not. Restaurant serve big portions in almost any dish, not always quantity is enough when authentic recipes are compromised. I am a frequent traveler and eat in different parts of the country and I don't believe I will come back again.

Underwhelming food and poor service. Those flaws aside, the worst part about this place is the owner's policy of forcing their servers to pay for customer meals out of pocket for even minor errors regardless of who fault the error was. There are far better choices in the area for Mexican food.
