Food is absolutely terrible.. paid $25 for the grouper that came with white rice and potato salad.. came on a paper plate. Save your money and eat somewhere else

Haven’t been there for two years. What a major change. For the worst. Menu was limited. Not near as many choices as before. Gumbo used to be a big bowl with a lot of soup. Now just a small plate with hardly anything on it. Cole slaw was terrible as was the potatoe salad. Portions were very small. Food had little tast. Definitely not as good as it was two years ago. I will not recommend it to anyone and I will never be back! Such a shame!

I am a Maryland native and our entire family are crab fiends, so the bar is pretty high.This place looks the part. Large property with different areas to eat and a deck with some great entertainment. BEER AND WINE ONLY. And not much on the wine side. Prices for beer are reasonable.We went for crabs of course and they have two sizes - medium and large. They were out of large which was so unfortunate. The medium crabs were reasonably priced but were on the small to medium side. Disappointed in the size but they were perfectly steamed - yes steamed which was a must for us to try it out. We had two dozen for three people which did not fill us up but also tried the shrimp and oysters. The crabs tasted good but not real yellow bold mustard like a Maryland crab.We drove an hour to get here and all in all we would go again. The place has a great atmosphere and the staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. Just realize this is a Florida Blue crab experience and not a Maryland Blue crab experience.

The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We ordered the crab chowder and triggerfish sandwich with coleslaw. I hope we can visit the restaurant again sometime, there's more I'd love to try.

Just got home with my Gator gumbo..I was very disappointed there was a pound of rice and 1/8 of a pound of Gator and sausage could not even recognize the sausage absolutely not the way it used to be a few years ago. it used to be a really good place to eat not so much anymore. it was a lot of money to pay for a pile of rice..
Only giving 2 stars because they refunded what we originally had an issue with. We ordered to go and got the “Whorehouse point” the clams were good but the shrimp was overcooked (I eat shrimp very regularly and they were not good ) The oysters my husband wanted and the shell was impossible to get open. Upon returning and getting a refund the woman said the shrimp and oysters were fine. We’re foodies and just had twins a couple weeks ago so we were excited to eat good food tonight without cooking. After returning and trying the gumbo I don’t care who you are that “gator” was chicken besides that it was as plain as the white rice . I’d never recommend.

I used to come here as a young teen. I remember my parents being upset as it was our every Saturday place but when prices went up they weren’t so happy. (This is 12-14years ago for context).I don’t care about the prices. I was surprised at the wonderful service for such a down home place! Though I do wish I’d read the reviews or called for some questions before coming!They do not have a fryer now for fried fish. For some of us that’s the main craving that drives us to this cute little place! I didn’t ask so it could be just that it’s down for maintenance (that’s not my business anyway!) but I would recommend calling prior to ensure they have what you’re wanting!I find it so cool this cute place has been around so long! What I was disappointed to see was the business owner reacting very poorly to negative reviews here on Google and that enticed me to share my own opinion. I run a small business also, I understand very much how personally one can take this but I’d like to leave a little message for the owner: I learned to separate my personal feelings from work production. Some people try to be mean with their reviews while others are trying to provide constructive criticism! I personally used to lash out as well but no longer allow other people that kind of control over my emotions. If you look at it that way it gives you the power back. And us locals know where to go! A few negative reviews doesn’t affect the fact you’re still running for so long!Nonetheless, we were disappointed with the food but I also didn’t ask the right questions prior to coming! That’s on me! And we still left happier than we came.I will also note I requested no alcohol to be offered and the waitress COMPLETELY understood and didn’t mention it once! Lovely little place. Keep on keeping on, times can be tough.

I don't eat seafood normally, and I know this is a seafood place. The crab had a good taste, but the sandwich I got Icould have made at home. The atmosphere was nice, sitting outside, but there are other places that my boyfriend and I both agree we should have went to before coming here. The service was great, food not so much.
