My wife and I have been to this Village Inn 3 or 4 times over the last 5 years. Never really had a great meal there. We read the latest reviews and decided to give it another shot. We went on 25 Mar around 11:00. Everyone was nice and the restaurant looks better than it used to. A pet peeve of ours is when the server includes themselves with. " How are we doing" or "Do we need more time" Our server was we this and we that. Moving to the food, my wife ordered a California skillet and I ordered a traditional 2 eggs, bacon, fruit, and pancakes meal. Both plates had grease on them, mine wasn't too bad. The eggs and pancakes were good. The bacon was very greasy. The California skillet was inedible, it was like they spilled a cup of grease on it. It was pooled on the skillet. They did take that off of the bill. The manager never came by to talk to us about the food or any issues we had. Overall, we were not pleased with the experience or the food.

Nice AM in the PM spot...was a bit disappointed that the Rio Grande Skillet is no longer available on the menu, but the waitress had the cook do a version of it....coffee was brewed just right.

02/24/2024 Breakfast. Had the All Star Breakfast and it was tasty and filling. Wound up bringing the bacon and some of the sausage home. It was better than I expected! The wife had the Crepes Lorraine, which she enjoyed but didn't finish. A surprisingly large amount of food for us this morning. Pleasant and clean atmosphere. Our server, Adriana, was excellent. Coffee was nothing special, but I'll order it again when we go back. One very cool thing about our meal was that when the cook finishes cooking the meal (I'm guessing), he prints the check so the server can deliver it with the food. Since you pay at a counter on the way out, it was super convenient for us not to have to wait around for the bill.It was a very good experience for us today.Excellent: Uniquely satisfying. A special place.Very Good: Better than expected.Average: An everyday experience. Just OK.Fair: Below par. Dirty smells. & / or flies.

Pretty good food for the price. Nothing fancy. Service is hit or miss though we've usually had nice waitresses
