So disappointed that I even have to leave a negative review, this literally used to be our favorite date day/night place to go. Took my husband there tonight because it was his birthday and we were told they were on a 15-20 min wait. No big deal..decided to grab a drink from the tiki hut. I ordered a house margarita and he got a rum runner. For the two drinks it was 28$! My marg had a fly in it so I returned it and the bartender made me a new one. Took one sip and it literally had no taste what so ever. Had my husband try it who said the same thing so I take it they use a premix out of the gun and it was out, but I didn't have the heart to return the drink AGAIN so I took two sips and threw the rest away. 45 mins goes by and my husband receives a text from the restaurant saying thank you for visiting and that we had been served!? We went to the hostess stand who apologized for the mix up and said she didn't even know the restaurant was on a wait. We were brought over to a table that was dirty so she apologized again and went to get a cloth while we waited to sit and in the meantime two drunk women sat down at our table and instead of nicely asking them to move relocated us. When we finally did get to sit the waitress came over and asked what we wanted to drink and there wasn't even a menu to look at so see what drinks they had on the table. The night was ruined and we ended up just getting up and leaving. Also, anyone that likes walking on the boardwalk or taking a stroll down the beach you can no longer do that they are both closed to the public. You're better driving a bit farther to a nicer beach.

This PLACE was an AWESOME EXPERIENCE!Our waiter, Marcella was fantastic, very attentive....The food? FANTASTIC!The squad appetizer was off the charts delicious.Fish tacos......excellent.BAHIA BURGER ....the crab cake and burger combo was a great combo...We'll be back for sure!

The service was terrible. Took 10 min for the server to come to the table and gave no food recommendations. The drinks were watered down and not all good. The food was odd and not appetizing. I had the lobster Mac and cheese had hard bits of crab claw and barely any lobster. It had pickles mixed into the blend and it was just a brown slab of seafood thrown into a blender and put on the bread which was fried which just added to the weird texture. The rice pilaf was undercooked and crunchy. The $8 dollar salad looks like it came in an up turned lid and was mostly iceberg lettuce not good greens. The atmosphere was ok, but you couldn't even go down to the beach because it was private. And insult to injury everything was incredibly overpriced. Do not go here, just go to Circles in Apollo Beach. Waaaay better food for the same bill. We will not be coming back unless there is a serious change.

I went here for dinner. The atmosphere, food, and the service was good. I got the jambalaya pasta and it had a significant amount of shrimp, chicken and sausage. At other places it was more pasta than protein. This was not the case here.You can also get stunning views of the sunset that need to be seen in person. The full sun will be seen and fall below the horizon very quickly so don’t blink.

Sunset Grill and Beach Bar offers an incredible setting, situated right on the beach with breathtaking views and stunning sunsets. The restaurant provides indoor and outdoor seating options, with three bars available - one indoors and two outdoors. The atmosphere is truly enchanting, perfect for a memorable dining experience.While the ambiance is impressive, the food leaves something to be desired. I would rate it 3 out of 5. Our experience with the food was mixed; the kids’ pasta arrived cold and lacked flavor, disappointing my son. The coconut shrimp appetizer, however, was delicious. The main issue arose with our entrées, both the gruper and shrimp baskets seemed to have been fried a while ago and weren’t as fresh as we’d hoped.The service at Sunset Grill and Beach Bar was exemplary. Our server was attentive and friendly, consistently checking in on us and even attempting to rectify the issue with the cold kids’ pasta. Despite the shortcomings with the food, the staff’s professionalism and warmth added to the overall dining experience.The prices at Sunset Grill and Beach Bar are reasonable, offering a range of options from budget-friendly to more expensive dishes. On average, we spent around $30 per person, which is fair considering the ambiance and location. Everything was amazing been a long while since we've dined at a place that was worth the price. The hostess under promised and over delivered on the table timing and location. Small hiccup with food timing but waitress fixed it right away and it all worked out just fine. It really turned out to be a beautiful night.
