I usually only write good reviews. I feel bad experiences should be shared with the management, giving them the opportunity to explain or fix the issues. In this case, we explained but didn't feel heard or respected. We spoke to 5 staff and managers throughout the experience, not one offered to make it right. We were seated immediately, but it took a while for the waiter to return, 10 minutes, and take our drink orders. We ordered a beer and a Coke, only got the beer. After placing our order, a large bug, possibly a type of cricket, wandered on to our table. We changed tables, hoping it was a fluke. The food took a really long time to come out and then was cold, so not sure if it tasted good or not. We told the waitress about the bug when the food was delivered, no apology or explanation to ease our minds. She took back the cold food and at that point, we were done. The cook saw our food go back asked why. We told him the food was cold and he said they were having a bad day. Paid for the beer and left after speaking to a manager who said she hoped we would give them another chance.

Love mexican food. This is the worst mexican food I have ever had. They hand you this menu that is paper and so little option. There is a charge for the front of the house so my bill had a 20% auto matic charged to your bill. Part is my fault cause I did not read the disclosure on the menu regarding this charge. I had enclida dish and a beer. $27.00 dollars. I ate on the patio so They expected me to tip the bar person. It would have cost me almost $40.00. I was very upset when I realized the amount due. Then the bartender wanted to explain the salaries and I just wanted to stop talking. It was a very unpleasant experience. I could go on and on. I need to let it go. Wasted money for food. Shame on them. Why would anyone work there! Will not ever go to Safety Harbor to eat again. What a reap off!

We came here to join friends and watch a band. The atmosphere was great and they had enough outside room for kids to run and play without bothering other patrons. We really enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to a return trip.

Coastal Cantina recently hosted a private (brunch) event for us and from start to finish, it was absolutely amazing! There was a huge variety of food and ALL OF IT was delicious!! They made sure to have enough staff to wait on all 35 of our guests & the service was impeccable! The back patio provided plenty of space for everyone to not only sit and enjoy their meal, but to walk around and visit as well. We will definitely be doing more events here in the future!

We went for brunch, and both got the $25 unlimited plates. Bloody Mary was ok, nothing special. Most of the food was average, but the enchiladas were really good (we both got more on 2nd plate), empanadas were also good. Biscuits and potatoes were dried out (we went at noon, so they had probably been sitting on the heating tray 2 hours). Pastries and mini muffins the kind you can get at walmart, but that was expected. There only seemed to be one person working when we got there and he was at the bar, but eventually was able to come over and get our drink orders. Here is a list of what food was on the buffet the day we went, since I didn't see any other reviews with details, maybe it will help someone reading this. They had live music which was nice.Carving stationHamFried catfish and cheddar goat cheese gritsBiscuits and gravyScrambled eggs, bacon, chorizoBreakfast enchiladasSausagePotato wedgesSweet potato frittersCheese guava empanadasCevicheCheese and crackersFruit (melon, cantaloupe, raspberries)Mini muffins, cookies, pastries

The food is so so. We chose to sit inside because they had a dog event out on their patio and that was a huge mistake. We were one of the only ones inside and the service certainly reflected that. The bar service was extremely slow as well as the attention given to us by our server

Local place, great service with a smile (and a laugh), live music. Good food & good drinks. Everything is right about this charming restaurant set in an old house with open air space under the trees out back

Not a very good menu for a Mexican restaurant. Tables out back very un- inviting atmosphere. Just thrown together.People/service very nice though.

The waitress "forgot" to tell us about the new service charge and then tried to guilt us into an additional tip. Sad. The food is good, but watch out for the servers.

Chose the wrong place to have dinner out for a change. Enchiladas were dry. Music was obnoxiously loud, and when I wanted another drink, the server could not be located.

My husband and I went to grab a quick drink and appetizers after shopping on Main Street. We parked right there and thought we would try it. We waited a while -we know the server saw us as there were only two other couples on the front porch. We should have left as soon as we heard this LOUD deafening music from the back. We figured maybe it was a bridal party or something and it would stop. We could not even hear ourselves talk!! So then the server comes and we ordered margaritas, chips, and cheese dip. Well... the salsa was out of a jar, probably, the cheese dip was cold as were the chips. Chips were greasy as well. The watery margaritas were cold, so we finished those and left the food. The server, after twenty minutes of our finishing our drinks, came back and put the bill on the table. My husband wanted to tell him what the problem was with the food, but we weren't asked. The music never stopped. We left and won't be back. My advice-go anywhere else. We should have gone to the Whistle Stop like we usually do-so much for trying something new. Cute decor, but don't let that food you. It was inhospitable. I never write reviews, but I feel that people should not judge a book by its cover.

Great drinks, food and customer service. We are definitely coming back. You gotta try their Cuban sandwich. Chips salsa and guacamole are the best! Great customer service by all the staff, we appreciate our bartender Courtney :) if you’re looking for a great atmosphere with live music, you gotta try this place in weekend nights
