We went on Valentine's Day for the first time, VERY busy, and the food and service were on point in spite of the chef and server being a little overwhelmed. Very satisfying meal, and very reasonable prices. We look forward to going again on a quieter night and getting to know this sweet little neighborhood sushi bistro better.

My Mixed Bag Experience at Happy SalmonHey folks! Wanted to share my recent outing to Happy Salmon in Safety Harbor.First things first, the wait for the food... much longer than I anticipated. I'm all for taking the time to make a meal right, but this felt like a bit of a stretch. Now, about the food. It was, okay. I mean, it wasn't bad, but it didn't knock my socks off either. I was hoping for that 'wow' factor, especially after the wait, but it ended up being pretty average. Nothing to write home about. On the plus side, the place itself has a decent vibe. Definitely laid-back. But, if you're looking for a culinary adventure or a quick bite, this might not hit the mark. All in all, I'm giving Happy Salmon a solid 3 stars. It's not off my list, but I'm not rushing back either. Maybe it was just an off day? I might give it another shot down the road. Until then, the search for my go-to seafood spot continues!

Tiny, family run sushi restaurant which is super good and really fun. Heavier on the sushi vs Japanese/other dishes. She makes sushi at bar and makes jokes while he works the tables. Good quality sushi, we’ll be back!

It's my favorite place for sushi and a great izakaya atmosphere. Owners are fantastic people, and I always feel like I'm back in Japan when i visit. The miso soup is on point.

Blink and you can miss this gem! I would personally like to thank the staff for making us feel so welcome! They really go out of their way with the details here. I felt as if they had asked me themselves to enter their establishment. The ambiance is cool and enthralling while the food definetly follows up well. Everything we tried was good. If you are feeling particularly adventurous ask them for the blowfish sake. Takes some time to make and it comes tall but believe me it's an experience you will not forget. Hats off to you fine folks!

Some of the best sushi I have had! Though i might not be the most frequent sushi eater. I was a newbie with ordering raw fish, but was pleasantly surprised at how good the Rainbow Roll and Philadelphia Roll turned out. We will be back for sure!

This is the best sushi place in Pinellas County. Tony and Hia run one of the cleanest and most efficient restaurants in the area. Hia is the main sushi chef and has years of training and experience, which is evident in the rolls she makes. Most sushi places give you small, loosely rolled sushi...not this place. The sushi rolls here are large (almost require 2 bites) and do not come apart. Happy Salmon also has a very pleasant and intimate setting, ideal for a perfect date night.
