My boyfriend and I had dinner at The Kitchen & Bar Restaurant in Safety Harbor and we ordered the sagnaki fried cheese for an appetizer which was real greasy and too salty. The bread looked like it was old and came off of another customer's bread basket. The server was pushy for us to order a bottle of wine and we declined. Their water is not filtered and it tasted and smelled like it came from a sewer. I ordered the red fish which was over seasoned with cheap tasting seafood spice. It came with hush puppies which were dry and flavorless. The Brussels sprouts were burnt and tasted bitter and not edible. I told the food server if I can get another side order because the Brussels sprouts tasted horrible and she said I will have to charge you extra. I ordered a side of sweet potato and it was whipped with so much heavy cream and other fillers, I could not taste the sweet potato. It was a real disappointment! Shame on the cook for serving burnt, flavorless, bad tasting food. Sadly, this dinner was so bad on all levels and it even left a gross taste in my mouth. My boyfriend had the pork chops which he said were okay. He nearly burned himself when he tried to pick up and open a small mason jar that had apple sauce in it. The server should had warned him that it was extremely hot and it is not smart to leave a very hot glass jar on a customer's plate. I was served my dinner first and my boyfriend had to wait a few minutes for his dinner which was rude and inappropriate for the server to do that because the meals should be served at the same time. The food server tried to push dessert on us and we just wanted to get out of there. This restaurant is really nice inside with cloth napkins and a real charming vibe to it. Pathetically, the food is cheap tasting and of poor quality. We had higher expectations for a restaurant of this caliber and we will definitely not be back. For great tasting, delicious quality seafood, side of vegetables and the best hush puppies in Pinellas County, I highly recommend going to Rusty Bellies in Tarpon Springs.

Party of 4 parents out for the night with no kids decided to stake our bets on getting in on a Saturday night and we won! The old fashioned drinks we ordered were really good, along with the dish pronounced Beneli (flatbread). Delish sausage and cheese toppings. We all ordered salads, the wedge and the field greens and again, so stellar! The small plates options are perfect after already having some snacks and apps. They were accommodating with special requests of GF and no garlic. Jason, the chef, came out to greet us and that was cool. Neat guy! We're def coming back.

I love the menu items, but the night we went was quite busy and the service was a bit delayed. The chef also wouldn't substitute anything on our salad which I also found odd. The crusted fish was very good and perfectly cooked, and the tomahawk chop paired with wine is a perfect main sharing dish.

Yummy place! Deff make a reservation though, we failed to and had to wait a minute but they were nice enough to squeeze us in. Our waitress was very efficient and attentive which I appreciated. Bread pudding dessert was out of this world and setting made for a very cute date night for my boyfriend and I.

The atmosphere is adorable and the food is good, but I won't be going back. My party and I were told by the manager to be quiet (and essentially stop enjoying ourselves). We were talking normal volume, but this is an old house converted to a restaurant which means very thin walls and lots of echoing. This place is only good for date nights where you can expect to be whispering with your partner all night. I would actually have given this establishment another try with my husband only, but after scolded by the manager as if we were toddlers, nope!

We have a group of women and we planned our annual monthly night out because we've heard great things about this place. There was 7 ladies. No one was inappropriate and there was no bad language, yet two tables moved out of the front room immediately where we were seated, and they were extremely rude to us. In fact one of the women flicked us off as they left. We asked to be moved to another location so that we could have a more private space and there wasn't one they would shift us to. The manager asked us to be quiet as well. We were not belligerent or drunk at ALL but we were trying to have a good time--which is impossible at this restaurant. If you want a fun environment and not to be asked to be quiet like you are in daycare then do NOT go there. Unfortunate..... because food was great and our server Jeremy was amazing!!!

When we walked in to look at the menu, the "hostess" was busy doing something, but not acknowledging nor welcoming us. We felt as if we were bothering her. Such bad energy & vibes, we walked right out.

Reviewed the dinner menu while we had a drink and appetizer (neither was impressive). We decided not to order dinner because we were so disappointed with our margarita and cheese appetizer. Servers seemed to be tripping on each other and some what lost. Won't be back.

Amazing place. The menu is simple and unique. I was born and raised in New Orleans Louisiana. The gumbo here is really, really good with excellent depth and flavor. Highly recommend you try it. Parking is available at night in the parking lot across the street in the church parking lot.
