Cool joint with good grub. Our server seemed to be having a bit of a day, but that happens to all of us from time to time. Definitely worth a visit if you have not bee there.
Every time my family and I come here, we prefer to sit in a quieter section of the restaurant and it takes 15+ minutes to get served. The waiters and waitresses who are not assigned to the section refuse to help us claiming that they can only service their section. I find extremely discriminatory and disingenuous that you would walk by a family, actively trying not to look at them, not even taking a drink order or providing any sort of basic respect or humanity. It’s really a shame because their food is good, but the service is horrible . Sad. They should be ashamed.

The $16 fish and chips was some of the worst I’ve ever eaten. Two pieces of dried fish with a huge amount of over crusty batter. Almost uneatable. Left the batter on the plate.The drinks (screwdriver) were reasonably priced at $6 but the OJ was so watered down and the vodka was almost nonexistent. I’d prefer to pay more and have a better drink.The fried green tomato BLT my brother and his girl had was a hit.I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon

Updating this review. I received a response from the manager. I understand there are oops in the restaurant business and the response from them was genuine.Most of my reviews are 4 and above. I was taught if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all. But I think the owner really needs to know this information. We were a table of six. The waitress told half the table the specials. 4 of us got our food much earlier than the other 2 and even though we started eating as soon as we got it, everything was cold. Frizzle onions should be called frizzle crumbs because that’s what I got. One of the group had salmon and they forgot the rice. My margarita was mostly ice and a ton of mix. My husbands old fashioned was 4 sips. And the appetizer came with the dinner. The black and blue burger had potential but the bun was boring and one of us had onions and the other had tomatoes which neither of us ordered on our burger. The burgers needed a sauce. It was a seasoned dry piece of meat on a boring bun.

We had the corn fritters which were ok. Husband asked for hamburger cooked medium, it was chard, my fish had triple amount of breading and very oily, both our fries were cold and limp with alot of burnt fries. Very disappointed for the amount of money we spent $56 plus tip.

I am in a wheelchair and we were a party of six. The hostess was very helpful in getting us in and right to a table. There is limited Handicap parking and part of the deck seating is only accessible by steps. The server was very friendly and helpful and the drinks and appetizers came quickly. The main dishes were timely and we were all very happy with our meals.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking and restrooms with most dinning areas accessible to wheelchairs.
Gotta love Whistle Stop. Great vibes and great food.

In honor of the movie Fried Green Tomatoes which is currently on Netflix, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to check out Whistle Stop Grill and Bar! Now I did not order fried green tomatoes, however I got the honey sriracha wings and let me tell you??? with side of sweet potatoes fries? the weather was beautiful so outside dinning was nice. I will say they were a little short handed but service was good. Maybe another time, I'll try those fried green tomatoes ?
