This place was my favorite bar to go to after work but now they fired the best bartender (liz) and my favorite performer on Thursday lea is never there anymore... it's just hard to support a business that let these great workers go after a power trip. It just sucks.

We have been enjoying this wine bar for many years, even before moving here. However, our last visit 3/23 was disappointing. There was no California Chardonnay to offer, and the red wine selection was Cabernet, Cabernet and Malbec. We never had reason to question the pour, and this time learned it's 5 oz. Normal is 6. Very enjoyable atmosphere on the balcony, however.

My wife was getting some new ink next door and I needed a place to kill some time (aka imbibe); so I headed out and found right next door this humble, but hip setting operated this night by Liz. A Taste for Wine is situated on the second floor above what one might call the most active, loud in an inviting kind of way, streets in downtown St. Petersburg. Along with a modest offering of wines from around the globe; this place offered a host who was attentive, accommodating and kind. Through a very nice California and Washington Red Liz graciously engaged me and one other guest vying for an ear to bend. All in all, if you're looking for a place to grab a glass of vino before or after dinner, or perhaps a place for a small social gathering with friends...join Liz, here in this place.

This is such a great bar to go with a group or worth a date. It is not overly loud which makes it very laid back. You can hear what the person next to you is saying. They have a wonderful wine and beer selection and a knowledgeable staff. It's rarely ever crowded, so it's very chill.

Stumbled upon this hidden place one Saturday night. So lovely with a great staff. Wonderful wine selection and also have charcuterie and chilled water. Will definitely be back for a girls night! Great find on Central Ave. Best part is their balcony that overlooks Central.

Great place for a glass of wine and quiet conversation. It's cozy with comfortable seating and simulated fireplace. There is also an outside balcony which is fun for people watching and enjoying nice weather and First Friday activities.
What a chill little intimate wine bar! Sofas and conversation seating spread throughput this upstairs space. Faux fireplace, and board games offer a sense of cozy. With a very extensive international selection of wines as well as meats/cheeses/pretzels. The outdoor balcony also offers street views and additional tables.
