We were warmly greeted when we entered Casita Taqueria. The cashier went over the most popular items on the menu. I got three tacos: carne asada, shrimp and brussel sprouts. All three were very good.My hubby got the carnitas bowl. The carnitas were well cooked and not too dry and not too wet. There is parking in front and in the back.

We saw Casita Taqueria on the way to the Sunken Gardens and decided to give it a try. I knew we were off to a good start by how friendly the young lady was and the time she took explaining all the menu options. We had a burrito with carnitas, a fish taco and chicken taco, potato soup and carnitas taco. As it was our first time there we were given complimentary chips, guacamole and salsa. Everything tasted great and this would be our favorite place if we weren't on vacation.

I do not recommend this place. Traveling and stopped at this taco shop instead of my favorite one down the block because I was already at trader joes across the street. Ordered takeout for me and my mom and discovered when we got back (25 minutes away) that they got the whole order wrong. I asked for all beans instead of rice and they gave me ALL rice. Asked for corn chips and they gave flour. Also, very scant on the meat for both of us, which I guess is good because we specifically asked for carnitas because it was not spicy and what ever we got was spicy, so my mom did not eat the meat. When I called to let them know, they kept me on hold for 5 minutes and I was tired of waiting so I hung up.Also, there was a random radish in my To-go box.I will not make this mistake again.I Do not recommend.I am bummed I tipped them because they got the whole thing wrong.I am so hungry because I had 5 bites and now have nothing for dinner.I wish I had not strayed from my usual taco shop.

I live in the neighborhood of the fourth Street location. I have been coming to this Taqueria for many years today. I had a bad experience that I thought I should share, especially with ownership. The tacos were very good as usual today I was on my bike and in a hurry and I did not get chips drinks like usual. I asked about the happy hour taco specials. We should update the board and he said to him don't bother nobody ever asks about that When I left, I said thank you and he gave me a dirty look. I got a bad feeling and I don't think I will be going back to that location even though it is very close to my house.

Two strikes and your out. Second time eating lunch at this seemingly authentic local Mexican restaurant. Both times my tacos were delivered cold. The service was awful too. The younger woman taking orders had the personality of someone who clearly didn't want to be interacting with the public. Find a new job. Not sure there will be a third chance. No pics. Food wasn't picture worthy.
My go to Mexican choice in st Pete Could go for this anytime for lunch or dinner Amazing bowls, tacos, and Queso

Great shop with indoor and plenty of outdoor seating. This place is awesome the walls are painted a burnt orange with plenty of art that gives it an authentic feel. My service was ok, you order at the front so there aren't waiters like at a restaurant, but there was a guy who acted as a general waiter or busser for everyone. He was kind enough to take my trays away for me. But it's definitely more of a dine in fast food situation and my food DID come out really fast, less than 5 minutes for sure. I got a barbacoa burrito ($7.99 for burrito + $1.99 for barbacoa- prices vary for different protein) and a carnitas taco ($3.50 ) both were good the barbacoa takes it as far as taste the carnitas was just ok to me. The red salsa is pretty bland but their verde salsa is nice it has a decent flavor and noticeable spice (low mild) if you're not fan of spice it won't hurt you but be a little cautious. The food is flavorful and decently priced it's hard to find a burrito under $12 dollars these days. This one is a little smaller than I prefer but for the price it works. This place is perfect if you need a quick bite that taste right. The burrito gets a 7.8 /10 the taco gets 6.5 /10 definitely a place worth a try
