If you're looking for a place to almost feel like your back in time, I recommend them. They got that down home feel & really good food, chili dogs are what their known for! My families been coming here for generations now, definitely grab you a chili dog some time. (If they're still open)

Coney Island closed in March 2021 for good. Very sad. I ate there for 50 years and now the owner's Son doesn't want to keep it open. It appears that he doesn't even want to sell the business. A previous longtime employee said he was never really interested in the business, alas, it's closed. The owner has said that he wants to reopen but he's in his 80's, so that probably won't happen.

Great tasting food but give me a break they charge you like your eating at Berns Steak house. I mean I bought a half dozen dogs and some Cole slaw and it was $25+ and the take out box was a Gualtny chicken hot dog box. Just goes to show when you get a big head you think you can charge anything you want. YOU CAN BUY BETTER FOOD ELSEWHERE BUT YOU CAN'T PAY MORE FOR IT! PLUS DON'T SAY TEMPORARILY CLOSED IF YOUR BUSINESS IS SHUTTERED UP.

I don't understand the reviews for this place because these were the nastiest hot dogs I've ever had in my life. They were literally bitter. How is that even possible for chili cheese dogs? The chili was literally just dry ground beef that was so dry, it would fly off by just breathing on it. The cole slaw was so sweet that it just tasted like mayonnaise mixed with fruit juice and the cabbage was shredded practically to dust. The milkshake was just a basic milkshake, nothing special. Never again.

Excellent service, low priced menu and friendly atmosphere. Just wish the hot dogs were a little bigger (I didn’t want to order 2 - too much bred with 2 little dogs). Root beer float was good.

Good place to grab a quick bite. Burgers are small like a McDonald's burger and $3.95. No French fries here. Only chips. Chocolate shake is great! Chili dogs too! It hasn't changed since 1926 when our first relatives started coming here and they first opened!

No fryer, fried food is a staple of “Coney Island”, the breakfast sandwich was expensive and sub par. The food is cooked in the open with carpet cleaner guy carrying dirty carpets over food as it’s cooked thru one lane galley kitchen. Eh.... it’s slightly better than eating at McDonald’s.
