Ordered the Chirashi Dinner. The Miso Soup may have gone bad. I wish I'd taken a photo, as there were these weird snotty looking things floating in it and it smelled sour. The ginger salad dressing tasted funky, and the sushi rice had a very unusual taste. There wasn't much rice vinegar in the seasoning for it, and it was really starchy like it wasn't rinsed enough. The fish was decent quality, though. But if you can't get the rice right at a sushi restaurant, it's a no from me.

I used to come to this sushi restaurant often many years ago, but I'm sad to say I haven't been here in a hot minute with all the new sushi places opening :(. Thankfully, my niece was craving sushi and picked Ichiban so I was excited to try them out after all these years. They are currently only open for take out. We placed our order in by phone and picked up shortly after. Updated menu is online. We ordered the SHRIMP VOLCANO, GATOR ROLL, and TUNA TORNADO. My niece is normally a volcano lover, but this time she fell in love with the GATOR ROLL. It was saucy and generously covered with krab sticks. We will definitely be ordering that roll again. The other rolls were also good -- rolled tightly and just the right amount of rice. I also ordered tuna nigiri and was happy that it was good quality and fresh tasting. Will have to order again to try out some of their newer rolls. Definitely recommend trying them out.

My go to spot for the past 10+ years. Order lunch to go almost weekly. Staff is great, food is fresh and some of the best sushi around. Highly recommend!

Yummy sushi! I got the Mexican roll and sweet potato roll with no sesame seeds or sauce then added cream cheese to both, very delicious!
Great place for take out sushi. Good quality for price. Service is always nice and packing of sushi is top notch. I have had almost every roll here and not had a bad one. The Clearwater roll ranks at top for me. Keep in mind busy nights allow for an hour order before you pick up they do get busy.

Not sure the patrons complaining that the website is misleading by saying they are open for dine in, when he first thing that pops up on their website is a notice saying they are doing takeout only. COVID hit many small businesses HARD - and for a small business to remain open speaks volumes for their food and service! They did recently expand their hours to include lunch as well. They DO close for a short period between lunch and dinner. All of their rolls are AMAZING! Everyone is always so nice. They are also very accommodating. i order rolls on particular fasting days where dairy isn’t allowed and they always are willing to accommodate my orders for that. Their prices are more than reasonable as the specialty rolls are HUGE compared to St.Pete downtown sushi joints. Been ordering from them for years!

I go to Ichiban at least once a week and have been for the past 7 years. I love getting food there because it is always tasty and great quality. Some reviews talked about how they aren't open inside yet with Covid precautions, but this business has always and will always look out for the happiness and safety of their staff and their customers. Not being open yet is their decision and when they open for dine in business, they will be amazing still. I myself am excited for that day too.

The sushi is good! Had a few basic rolls and two speciality. Tastes good, prices are good in todays economy. Can't go wrong. Order ahead!

Updated:This has become one of our favorite sushi spots. They've greatly reduced the wait times and the food/staff is great. Very happy that they have survived the past couple years and can't wait until they are available for sit down service. The takeout is great though!Original:Food is good but outrageous wait times.
