Mi Carreta Restaurante is a very cozy place, the atmosphere is super familiar and its workers make a 100% effort to provide the best service. On a personal level, I have lunch there every day of the week, their dishes are very good quality but the treatment they give me and my family is unique in the area.I recommend this restaurant to all lovers of good authentic Colombian food and especially to those who like to be treated like real family.I can name many of their employees but in reality all of them generally provide the best services and the necessary affection during your visit.Visit my Cart Restaurant and you will feel at home.

Took a few wrong turns leaving the Tampa airport and ended up here while desperately looking for food after flying all morning. Incredibly glad we stumbled upon this place! The food was so good- the carne, the empanadas, the pan, the beans, everything was awesome. Service and hospitality were amazing, very welcoming staff. Worth coming back here next time I’m in town!

It's my first time here and here I leave my review. The place is small, cozy, the music is very good, the food is very good but the service was terrible. We were waiting for about 20 minutes to be served and the place was not even full. I recommend it for the food but not for the services, the service was not good

Delicious Food. I am not of Colombian decent so I can not testify to it's authenticity but to my palate this is absolutely delicious. The Empanadas were fresh and moist inside yet had bit of crispiness on the pastry. The flavor of the Bistec De Resencebollado is unforgettably savory. Perfectly roasted skinless tomato wedges compliment the dredged french fries and fried Plantains round out this entree. The staff is very hospitable and attentive yet gives ample time to enjoy your meal.I am looking forward to my next visit soon.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of high chairs and room for them at the tables.
the food is fine. it's kind of expensive. which is ok. they have all the prices listed. BUT they will charge you for tips from stuff you buy in the front bakery area. because they don't tell you they already charged gratuity and give you a receipt without the items so that you can give another tip. the only reason we got the receipt is because we went back in and asked why we got charged 52 dollars for 1 breakfast plate, some empanadas and some drinks. it turns out we were charged 7.29 for gratuity that was added to a total that includes stuff we got from the bakery area and then only shown a total. then they ask for a tip based off the total. so, i got asked to tip again based on the total that already included gratuity added into the total... and they act like it isn't a problem and also tried to hide it by acting like they cannot print a itemized receipt. people who go here need to watch out. they rob you with tips. it wasn't the first time either. some of the servers are scammers. todos necesitan saber que al menos que una servidora es una estafadora aquí. photo 1: is where they tried to rob me using the 'charge gratuity into a total and only show the total and ask for a tip' scam. FYI: they're gonna charge you a 7 dollar tip for a plate of food. it will be on your bill. i will not go back here and i will go eat Colombian food somewhere else.
THE WORST dining experience ever. My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for 12 years. We have seen waiters come and go, but this particular male waiter is the worst. We arrived at 6:16 pm and our food was still not out at 7:30 pm. He (waiter had a tendency to disappear and not check on you. It took forever for my daughter to get her natural juice, along with several reminders. At 7:36 pm I , asked to speak to the owner (Mauro). The owner never arrived, but the waiter came to our table reporting the owner was too busy, but he had represented the owner when he is not available. Against my better judgment I told him of all the mishaps that occurred and how it was 7:30 and our food did not arrive. The waiter stated the lounge next door had 50 people and they were very busy with both places. Lame excuse in my opinion. We will never return as Mauro has lost his focus. If you want a real dining experience with great food and waiters go to “La Mordida” in Clearwater. It’s Colombian peruvian food. You won’t be disappointed or treated poorly.Parking: Limited parking.
