I tried to visit this location last night but it was closed (around 8pm). I assumed they closed early because of staffing. Today, I tried to visit again and it was still closed (5pm) despite posted hours showing them open until 9pm. The reader board message says "open" but it says "gone fishing" on the door even though the hours show them open. I would have appreciated if they would have marked the business as closed oh Yelp and Google. I was really looking forward to trying their food so I am bummed I wasn't able to. Give them a call before you go out of your way to visit this resturant.

I found this place on reddit and decided to try it despite the recent reviews saying it had went down hill.I regret going. Waste of $30.They were out of scallops and grouper. But I decided to order shrimp. The “ large” shrimp scampi style were drenched in garlic and tasted like garlic plastic, and the blackened jumbo shrimp had better flavor but were very salty. The salad didnt come with dressing at first and their only option was ranch. Both my sides were missing but they didnt notice until I asked and they had to check the ticket. Something they didnt bother to do when actually making the food. All of this to say that the kitchen staff was clearly not wearing any gloves or washing hands between touching fish and shrimp. And everyone in front and back were wearing flip flops. So we were immediately worried about sanitation. We ended up leaving and getting pizza.

Coming here forever. It has gone downhill, nowhere near the same. Last two times we ate there, very disappointed. Our fried dishes were dark brown, you can taste it was old oil. The last time we went all we did was look around and we left. The place was very dirty and the employees did not look very clean. The food that was coming out look bad. We left and I'm so sorry that I've lost one of my favorite places.

Ordered the blackened salmon with rice pilaf. No complaints on the taste or serving size. Didn't take a picture at the time of purchase.

Went here had a gouper sandwich. It was amazing ! But the burger was old and the clam chowder is cold. The food here is on the bad side

This hidden gem serves some of the best fried seafood I’ve ever had. The staff is genuinely friendly and were very helpful as well.

I don't understand why this place has such a high rating. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money. All the food tasted like old grease and flavorless I would not recommend eating here.

Greatest little Family Seafood place around. It had it's own little favor and on the weekends I've seen a Solo artist singing and playing for the patrons. They don't serve alcohol here otherthan beer and wine. I rarely dine in, which is Ann optional. The decor is well dated or rustic to be PC.OVER ALL I love this joint. And will contain to support as all as they keep it STR8 up da Burg style!

Our first visit on September 24, 2021. The staff welcomed us and made us feel at home. The food was excellent. There was even live music, which we weren't expecting. Overall, a great experience. We will definitely be back.

This Business has gone down the first owners it was great you have to be aware of the people who are working for you if not your business loses out I would not recommend this place anymore it was one of my favorite eating places not anymore. They get upset because you didn’t like the way your order was taken or the food was cooked. Wow the owner needs to just pop up with out them knowing.

The food is so-so, the woman who took my order of the phone was aggressive and TOLD me what drinks were going to come with my kids meals. We got a burger and it was so greasy and our fish was absolutely FLOATING in grease at the bottom. No thanks.

We're from Boston, where fried fish be fresh. All we had was one fried grouper and shrimp special and a huge salad and we're stuffed with drinks for the price of less than one fish fry meal anywhere else. Come early and feast, it got crowded fast later, no wonder. I should feast here every day! Mmmm. Let the lady in charge tell you what you want. Won't go wrong.
