Hype and no substance. Pork chop was thin and small. Eggs under cooked. I ordered over easy not over raw. Biscuit was mushy and the cup of gravy lacked flavor. Go to Trips. Much better

What can I say? This place is a must go! The food is simple, excellent and plentiful. It's been around since 1952. The staff is great with many having worked there for years. The property it occupies has recently been sold so there is some question as to how much longer it will remain. Open for both breakfast and lunch it was once featured on "Diner's Drive-In's & Dives."

I love Munch's! They are a St. Pete institution for breakfast or lunch. Luckily I live close and get to come here a lot. They were on the TV show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. They have daily specials, they are known for their collard greens, old fashioned milk shakes, and hashes. The staff is so friendly and wonderful. They are cash only but they have an ATM on site if you need.

A St. Pete staple that has been on my visit list for a while. The place is stylized like a classic old school diner with various knick knacks and items along the walls. There were also funny signs like "The maitre d been fired. Seat yourself" that made the restaurant feel more homey. The menu is small and simplistic but has such varied options. I went with the Chicken Biscuit special. The sausage gravy and the biscuit were tasty. The chicken to my surprise was actually a chicken patty and personally I would have preferred something like a fried chicken breast. Overall it was a good meal and well priced. The staff and the other patrons were also very nice.

Great service, excellent breakfast, large selection. This place is steeped in history and nostalgia and good food, value, quick service.

Munch's is a St. Pete tradition. They have the best homemade maple sausage and biscuits and gravy in town.

awful...it's in a run down area, no parking and the staff is unfriendly. Our waitress acted as if she was doing us a favor. I ordered eggs and pancakes and they were mediocre at best and my husband had some steak and potatoes dish that he said wasn't bad but all and all would not return. They take cash only as well.

Absolutely amazing! It's a little hole in the wall, but the food is fantastic. The service is great and the people are really nice and friendly. Definitely coming back again.

We used to eat here often because our son lived in St. Pete. Today we planned ahead and brought a large cooler for to go food!!! :). The TWO of us ordered :) Fried Green Tomatoes with Remoulade (OMGoodness!!), Fresh Spinach Salad with pecans, feta and bacon dressing (I am picky and everything was VERY fresh) , Meatloaf with mashed potatoes & green beans (like an old family recipe), Fried Chicken & Collared greens (perfectly cooked! We ordered another portion of collard greens to take home!). Our entire experience was made perfect by our server, Fatima. Sitting at the counter we could see how the entire staff is a great team!!

We went to Munch's on a Sunday around 11 AM. I was expecting a lunch menu, but they were still doing breakfast, which wasn't a problem. My wife ordered the Gulfport breakfast, which consists of grits, eggs, and ham over toast. She was very pleased with her meal. I ordered the pot roast chip beef (3D). It came with some of the best breakfast potatoes I have had in a very long time. I was expecting the normal chip beef in a white gravy, but this was not that. It was good, but not really what I wanted, that's on me for not reading the menu more closely. The beef and gravy was served over toast. There are so many choices on the menu for breakfast, and many of them different than usual breakfast fare. I would like to go back here sometime and order from the lunch menu. Scouting it on line I saw many menu items that I would like to try. Be sure you bring enough cash, as they do not accept credit or debit cards.

Yum!! This is a classic breakfast place. We arrived at 11 on a Sunday morning and were able to sit down right away. My husband ordered the pot roast breakfast with potatoes and I ordered the Gulfport breakfast. Both came piping hot and very tasty. The grits needed more salt, but most restaurant grits need salt. My husband liked his meal, but would have ordered something with a white gravy. He really liked his potatoes. Great place with great food.

Quaint little place full of St. Petersburg history. Fast, friendly service. My eggs, huge sausage patty and French toast was cooked perfectly. Definitely plan on visiting on a regular basis. Be sure to bring cash since they do not accept plastic.

Started coming here a few months when a friend moved close by and now I love it. The perfect old school breakfast and lunch spot. Prices are great, breakfast and lunch options all day.I highly recommend the meatloaf plate, BLT or burger. Also they make fresh handmade milk shakes, the strawberry milkshake is amazing!
