Seriously, don't bother anymore, has not been the same for a few years now unfortunately. I figured let me give it yet another shot, what a bust! Wasn't even that busy, seats available at the bar, sat there for 12 mins w/not a single acknowledgement, not even a hello, finally get a drink, then off she was again not even giving me a chance to ask for a menu, disappearing out back bringing food back and forth to bar tables, no one behind the bar at all for another 10 mins, still no menu. 5 mins later I get a menu after she asks other patrons that newly came in... I quickly know what I want, but she disappeared again, are you kidding! This time she wasn't even waiting tables, literally gone, no one behind the bar for 15 mins. People at the tables came to the bar, everyone saying where is the staff? Then a new guy came on finally but it took another 5 mins to flag him down just to get a check and get the hell out of there. NEVER AGAIN!!! Other patrons didn't even bother ordering food and settled on just a cocktail then leaving.Vacant owner, staff doesn't care and has attitude more times than not, always understaffed, and just take a peek in the side door off the sidewalk to get a glimpse of how disgustingly dirty the kitchen is. Don't know how they still exist or why anyone would support such poor service.

Went here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Our meals were tasty and the beers were cold. Our server was super friendly and welcoming. Solid beer selection and a lot of great sandwiches on the menu. Definitely worth checking out.

One of my favorite places to go for great food and a pool table! Heather the bartender is wonderful and has made going to the Old Northeast Tavern a treat! Can't wait to go back soon for the best Corned Beef Reuben!

Seems like this St. Pete classic has gone downhill. Understaffed which caused us to wait a long time for food. Appetizers came out with the entrees, all were barely warm to cold. They didn't check back forever, so we just ate the cols food and didn't waste more time complaining and waiting longer. Wouldn't bother going back, which is a shame since they used to be great.

I like this place, the food is great and the staff is lovely. The service was pretty slow but it wasn't the servers fault - the kitchen and wait staff are understaffed. The interior design was very lacking as well there were actual holes in the wall. The food was really good when it eventually came - the waiter was lovely when he had time to stop by. It wasn't busy at all but took our party of 2 over an hour and a half to have 1 appetizer, 1 drink, and a shared appetizer. The pretzels and cheese were a bit underwhelming, but the steak sandwich and potato salad were really good. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to visit again if things didn't change, but if you have time to spare maybe worth a visit.

I really like this neighborhood hidden gem which is also just a stroll from buzzing Beach Drive.The bar area is an unpretentious pub-like room with a warm wooden bar, a hodgepodge of tables, a few booths and TV's. Prices are reasonable. The staff are very nice. To make matters even better you can order delicious pizza next door and they'll deliver it to the Tavern where you can consume it and purchase refreshments and food from their menu.Been here a few times and I always look forward to going back.
Really great food! Had a corned beef Reubens with potato salad. The bread was buttered and grilled, perfection! Potato salad made with red potatoes, sour cream, maybe bacon? So good! Hubby had a pizza ? delish! And friend had a turkey artichoke sandwich and chips. All were excellent!

Oh my goodness, this place was awesome! Tucked into a neighborhood, it's not fancy but man, was the food good! They have quite an extensive menu. There were about 7 of us and we all had something different. Everything came out at the same time, and tasted amazing. From sandwiches to salads, we all made happy plates. We were so impressed, we wanted to meet Cody (the chef) and thank him personally. Service was spot on! Will definitely return!
What a great local dining experience, it was very busy but the service was great! We came for the Packers game and ended up eating our way through lots of delicious food. The portobello crab stuffed mushroom was amazing, thanks for the recommendation Shawn!
