I wanted to take the time to mention the kindness of the staff! I am a student from out of state and this is my go-to stop every time I am home on breaks for their food, especially the doubles!!The shop owners had a family emergency but took the time to call me and let me know so we could coordinate a time for me to still enjoy their food! My family also appreciates the convenience of getting groceries here.

This is a hidden gem in St. Pete, the best Caribbean food I’ve ever had. The chicken curry roti my favorite dish! The owner and staff are always friendly and offer unique flavors that can’t be matched anywhere.This is a must stop for locals or even if you are just visiting the area. They also have a Caribbean grocery store to get those hard to find ingredients to take home with you.Parking: Parking on the back side of the building, and out front.
I have been wanting to try this little spot for a while now. I got the vegetarian combination wrap and a side of cabbage. Boy did they give you a lot of food. I had to take half of it home and eat it for dinner. The wrap and cabbage was so good! Everything seemed to be fresh made, cabbage even had steam billowing out of it. The place has a little grocery in it as well, and they sell Matooks Calypso sauce! I am usually not a fan of mustardy sauces but Matooks hits the spot. I think next time I come I will have to buy a bottle so I can put some on my next wrap. The wrap had inside perfectly cooked potatoes and spinich and was muliple layers of a really thin what I think is a chick pea roti wrapped around the vegetables inside. There were other things that looked really good too. I wonder if they could do a vegetable double for me, because that fried thing looked good on the menu. I need to try to make it back again for more food for sure, and I need to deffinately add some spice to it.

Great little shop and restaurant. Authentic food and very delicious.
Ordered Four Roti; Mutton, Goat, Chicken and Beef, as well as Six Doubles. All were excellent and much like you would get in Trinidad. All is cooked fresh so takes time. Call ahead and will be ready when you arrive.
Always consistent, delicious and fresh, down to the last order of the night. Staff is so personable, they make you feel like family.

Was so Happy to find this carribbean Gem in St.Peterburgs...its 25 mins from Tampa and 40 mins from Riverview. Owner (Abbi) is originally from Guyana and his mom is Pam.Small, clean and very well organized Grocery store with authentic goodies from Trinidad and UK.We ordered 8 doubles and 4 rotis wrapped. Chicken/Goat/Mutton and Beef. I also got a side of pumpkin.Doubles: barra was thin and soft..cha na was spiced well...the combo was excellent in taste...melted in your mouth and delicious!Roti: The chicken roti was well curried with potatoes ( i added pumpkin) the roti itself was thin and flaky and not too much dahl to over-whelm it. Excellent flavor and texture...only complaint is I would have liked more pepper sauce ( Trini in me)..but that is easily solved at home. Abbi said they go easy on the pepper because not everyone can handle the heat....but he would add more if asked. Friendly and attentive as well.They cook everything to order, so your food is fresh and hot...my advice is call ahead and place your orders. Friday and Saturday are his busiest times. We had no problem waiting...because it was worth it!!Doubles are $3 and Roti $16 in range.Super glad we will not have to drive to Orlando or Fort Lauderdale for great Trini food!!****FYI i also did a review on Pepper Island in Ybor City.****
I just had a few beef patties here. They were delicious! Spicy and savory and they came out of the kitchen piping hot. I want to try the doubles and some of the other made to order Caribbean goodies. It may take a bit of time, but I think it's likely to be worth it. I the little specialty grocery store here is awesome too!

My family was in Saint Petersburg for a wedding and happened upon this roti shop. This is a humble little spot with big flavors. My family got the jerk, chicken, chicken, curry, potato, curry, and some doubles. The nice gentleman at the counter let us know that it will take some time because everything is cook to order. We were happy to wait. Our food came out piping hot and delicious. Everything was tasty and fresh and the roti was soft and wonderful. The doubles were full of flavor and the tamarind sauce was nice on the side . We washed down with some ginger beer. With our belly full, we laughed, and then I realized I left my purse. There I called, and the nice gentleman at the counter answer the phone, remember, my name, and held my purse for me until I came back. We really we're happy to find this place and enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful service will absolutely be back when we are in Saint Pete.
