Pofolk is a very good to have dinner with the family, I love it lot the food is out of this world! It has that down home cooking and feeling it's just all round! The service is also alsome they greet with the warmest greeting makes feel loved .I tell all my friends about pofolks! Yummy ?

Just brings back memories of my childhood. As a kid my family used to visit this chain restaurant often. Just overall great country food. I had the bone in catfish and a couple sides plus a bowl of chili, and everything was absolutely amazing.We've already been back twice in two weeks while going to a local doctor appointment.Too bad they don't have breakfast service.....

If you're going to charge a lot for food put the food on the table.I ordered a pulled pork. I just got three hush puppies and salad. I should have taken a picture of the pulled pork as it was the only thing that was on the plate. Never coming here again.I would say there was around 3 oz of pulled pork fully grown man.I asked where's the bread for the pulled pork, she said we can add that on to your bill.Really!??

I remember when we used to go the local one to us. This was nothing like that whatsoever, just brought back the memories. That I was grateful for. The poor waitress that had to wait on us for Easter was very nice and friendly and very thankful when I handed her the money and told her no change. The girlfriend had already thanked her for working on Easter and allowing us not to have to cook for the holiday. She was much more grateful when she realized the tip we left her. But the food didn't agree with either one of us. Amd 2 hours later we regretted eating there.

When I was 16, (now 46) my first job was as a busboy at the only (or one of the few )Po Folks north of the Mason-Dixon line in Western Pennsylvania. Not only was it my first job, but it also provided a taste of southern cooking that I wouldn't have had otherwise. Greens, red beans and rice, fried okra, black eyed peas, I loved it all then on top of the fried chicken and other items. That restaurant closed over 20 years ago now and the chain has dwindled to a few locations in northern FL.Simply, if you like Cracker Barrel, you will like Pofolks. Lots of the same options (except breakfast isn't served beyond breakfast hours) and lots of the same food options you'll find at any other southern style "Meat and 3" restaurant. The food all tastes the same as it did and the fried chicken is always good. I happened to eat at another PoFolks in Pensacola a few years ago and had the same experience there. Even the dishware is the same that I remember washing all those years ago.My wife had never experienced PoFolks and she enjoyed it. And the prices are still a good value with generous portion sizes. If you want a simple, southern style meal in St. Pete or Tampa, PoFolks is a good choice.
