Before my solo trip to St. Petersburg, I thoroughly researched where to get some great seafood. The Oyster Bar seemed like a fun place based on the reviews, menu, and pictures I saw online. I grabbed a seat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon and had wonderfully prompt service from the bartender. She was so friendly and nice, one of the best parts of my experience at The OysterBar. I ordered the Rockefeller "esque" oysters and the pimento cheese hushpuppies. The oysters Rockefeller (my first time trying them) were steaming hot, creamy, and savory. I didn't even need the Tabasco and horseradish provided, just a squeeze from the fresh lemon. Delectable. Unfortunately, though, the hushpuppies were very disappointing. For $11 I got four tiny deep-fried balls of pimento cheese that sat on some arugula garnish with what looked (and tasted) like some Ragu canned pasta sauce. I was hoping the hushpuppies themselves would provide enough flavor that I wouldn't need to utilize whatever that sauce was, but they weren't, and instead were a little dry. Overall the bar atmosphere was nice at The Oyster Bar and they seem to have their namesake down, I'm just not so sure about some of the other food.

The oysters are delicious! Good prices! The street isn't very clean and the restaurant could be better. It's a little dingy but I like the food!

The raw oysters were yummy, prices a bit high but that’s typical for bougie downtown St Pete. The service was horrible though and we were sitting at the bar. The female bartender looked super sad (sorry if she was having a hard day) but kind of killed the vibe of the dinner.

We sat at the bar and Laura was the bartender she was fabulous! Making all the drinks taking orders and running out food she was doing it all! Sad to see they closed, but hopefully there will be a new location opening! We would definitely return, the food was delish as well as the drinks. Oysters are not really my thing ? they are my spouses favs. Oyster were happy hour 3-6 pm and definitely worth it! $1 oysters with that said these oysters were delish and the best I've had! As you can see I finished my plate.
As always the place to go for Oysters! Plenty of options to choose where they are from. Also highly recommend the buffilo shrimp! Great service as well.

Over the last 8 years my husband and I used to frequent this spot sometimes twice a week or more. The baked oysters were our favorites. Then Covid hit and they changed up the baked Oysters :( and increased in prices. Huge disappointment! The new baked oysters don’t even compare. I wish they would bring back the old menu.

The oyster bar in Saint Pete is my go to oyster spot. I love the freshness of the right oysters. They are constantly cycling through fresh new batches every day, so you never get a bad plate of oysters from them. If you can go earlier in the afternoon during their 3 to 6 PM window of happy hour for one dollar oysters, it will be a little less busy, but as you get there after five it does get a little packed and there's a little bit of a wait for the oysters. The service is always super friendly and helpful. I wish their menu had a wider selection of food, especially healthy or vegetarian options. There's not much in that category for those of us that are trying to eat more plant-based or healthy. However, it's a great place to go for happy hour, and the bartender always has some great cocktails to recommend last time she whipped up a peach mule that was so refreshing in this summer weather.

On the strip in the heart of St.Pete the oyster bar has some amazingly fresh oysters will all the fixings! They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have a sweet happy hour until 6pm $1 oysters can't beat it. The drinks are staff are friendly. I recommend coming here for happy hour! Good vibes and in the heart of St. Pete!

Definitely not the same place. Been going here for two years now. Angie was our favorite server! New management and new staff have lost the focus on the Oster bar. Definitely not the same place. Last experience was less than satisfactory. May not return.
