If you love mom and pop style, country cooking, almost like a mom and pop Cracker Barrel, this is the place to eat.Amazing service ever. Single. Time. We love to eat here and it is in the perfect spot downtown! It’s usually bumping but never too busy to find an open seat. The breakfast food is always amazing and they have buffet every first Sunday of the month!

Connie, Noel, Alyssa are really good servers they are all on top of there tables down to earth very professional, some of the best service I’ve had at restaurants in the past. I would recommend everyone to come down to the colonial room for breakfast and lunch. I am very happy with every aspect of this company.

We decided to go to the Colonial Room Restaurant for breakfast following an appointment in Sanford this morning and we are so happy we did! It was a cold wet morning but the atmosphere at the Colonial Room was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and my husband described the corn beef hash as the best ever! The coffee was freshly made; always served hot. The cups were filled the minute they even began to look halfway empty. Alyssa was probably the most attentive server we have ever experienced! Her pleasant smile, genuine kindness, and attention to every detail will have us coming back on a more frequent basis, even if we have to drive 25 minutes to get there! Delicious food and impeccable service makes the drive worthwhile! Thank you, Alyssa, for making our morning so pleasant!

Got breakfast omelete from this place which was not good. Even worse they put the food in Styrofoam container so hot its warped. That means all those chemicals are in my food. Cancer is real. Stop with these unhealthy practices.

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff is so sweet and so welcoming and the food is by far delicious! The breakfast is amazing! The omelettes are gigantic and packed with so much flavor. I also learned that the eggs are freshly cracked so you know you are getting real food! I highly recommend you stop in for breakfast or lunch here!

Take a look at this colossal omelette! My goodness. At first sight I decided to loosen a notch on the belt. Lady’s and gents, this is a true five egg hand cracked to order heavenly goodness. If you don’t get your fill on this, then I don’t know what your Superman metabolism is doing. All I can say is holy cow they did it again.

Meh.Had the most basic of breakfast: fried eggs sausage patties, grits and toast. Felt all were plain and not seasoned as one would expect for a diner. I don’t normally add salt to my food but today it needed it. The toast was the best part of the meal and didn’t even finish that.Service was slow. Took 5+ mins to be acknowledged and receive menus. Noticed that the locals were acknowledged and served faster than us. (They were greeted by name.)

This was the only place open early on a Sunday morning so we thought we would give it a shot. We walked in and it was busy but had plenty of empty tables. It said to seat yourself so we did. Our server came up to us and said she would be back and 15 minutes later returned to take our drink order and offer menus. After that it was another 20 minutes to receive our drinks. Our food order, of very simple breakfast items, took over 40 minutes to come out. Our server never checked back in with us during this time. The food came out and everyone in our party agreed it was mediocre-poor. During our time of all this waiting we observed a lot of interesting things happening. One patron decided to go up to the serving station and refill her drink multiple times. While she did this she had a young child who was coughing and not covering her mouth in the serving area. Workers saw her but nobody said anything to her. The other servers did not seem friendly at all and one was running around yelling at other staff members. We got lucky in that our server wasn’t rude just not very friendly. Not an enjoyable experience and I would not recommend this place. Just wait until 10:00 when the other spots open up.
