Not it. I normally judge a place by how do they do basic things well. So Jerk chicken and a beef patty is pretty standard. I got a large Jerk that wasnt large just the plate was big and flavorless cabbage. Corn bread was ok. The Jerk though just no jerk flavor no jerk sauce just real blah. Thank God for Hot sauce.

Sadly, for my first time visiting I got accused of not paying for my food. I had to show my recent transactions to prove that I paid for my food. As a new customer that will be my last time ever going. Customer service sucked!

I’ve had food from here twice, now. I tried the jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. Everything was delicious! The prices are fair and portion size is great. I look forward to coming

Heard about this place from a Caleb Gordon song. Shout out to Caleb Gordon by the way, great music. But, this place right here, fire! My wife is Jamaican and she loves this place. The spice is just right and they got the seasoning perfect. Thank yall for some great food!

I ordered the brown stew fish for lunch, which they did let me know that the fish was small. The size of the fish was ok but it was dry I thought brown stew firsh suppose to have some moisture to it, the rice smells like overnight rice not probably stored and I bite on a hard white pieces of stuff from the cabbage half way into it. I never had an issue eating here before but as and jamaican eating from a jamaican restaurant I expect better when it come to cooking fish. If you can't cook it right don't sell it.

I've been in this location three times and only ate once. The first two times was because no one was in the front to greet and or take an order. The second time I waited till an order woman came out and I nicely tolder her, it's unprofessional for there to be no one in front to receive guests and take orders. She openly received my message and ask if I wanted to order, I responded I had already place my food order with the Chinese two doors down.Last night I said let me try again. And of course no one there to greet or take orders. So I ask for someone with a loud tone because there were others waiting for their food because I asked. I ordered and got the curry chicken, rice and peas and Cabbage. The older gentleman that brought the food out ask for me to look at the food and I said, "yes, I see lots of grease." He took he back I assumed to pour it off but it was greasy as a pan of oil to fry some food. I prayed on the way home for this food to taste good.... smh what a disappointment. This for sure wasn't BettaPack curry... no hint of spice and lacked lots of flavor. The rice for sure was a very cheap rice and Cabbage had no flavor what's ever.... I don't get them seamed to be a culture of Jamaican decedent. It taste like some other culture back there trying to figure it out.

This place has almost 5 stars on google but the food is very bland. Everyone has different taste buds so I would recommend buying a small plate first to see if it’s something you would enjoy.!

I have been to many Jamaican spots all in different states, and I’m from California where we get Jamaican food on a regular, this was very disappointing. First the price is ridiculous for what you get. Spent $184 for 7 dinners and the large fish, which is usually hanging off my plate in California was very small. Rice and peas had hardly any peas and very bland. The plantain were very small, looked like the ones from the frozen section in grocery market. Nothing was seasoned correctly. The Fish was over cooked, that meat should not be tough but it was. I even asked if she was sure this is the large plate. A $24.99 plate looked like it should have been $10. The woman was very nice though and I hated to do this review but we work hard for our money today and with everything constantly going up, the quality should follow as well. I hope they seriously review these comments and try to improve,

Went here to get lunch while working in Sanford for the day and the service was great! The oxtail was well cooked and had a good flavor! The rice was just right and the soup had a very good flavor! We didn't dine in but while waiting in our food inside the restaurant definitely has that Jamaican feel and vibe. The atmosphere reminds me so much of home and that made my experience a lot better from a personal stand point. Try them out if you guys are in Sanford!
