Met an old friend for lunch.I had the crab cake appetizer and a bowl of gumbo.Everything was very good except the Gumbo was way too hot for me. I eat and enjoy spicy food but I just could not handle as much heat as the Gumbo.Just a personal preference. It was prepared very well. Just spicier than my palate could handle.Crabcake was amazing and my husband's Grouper sandwich was excellent.

Great lake view. Had lunch with a friend and ordered to crab cakes. They tasted fine, however, the original plate was delivered with 1 acceptable crab cake and the other looked like someone had already taken a bite or 2 of it. Called server over and the one crab cake was replaced. She stated that she didn't understand why it came out of the kitchen that way....so why bring it to the table. Thought the coffee, although good flavor was very expensive for plain coffee.Parking: Parking lot located across the street. Used by others as well, so sometimes the walk is through the entire block. No other issues.

Always unbelievable meal at St. Johns River Steak & Seafood.You really have to get to this little Gem in Sanford, FL. Busy night and great service. Expected wait for food and not bad even while very busy here.Big Easy Jambalaya Pasta is unreal (spicy) and fantastic!

Underwhelming food and service.High prices for mediocre food.Food:**Water wasn't served cold, tasted like sink water.**Blackened chicken tacos - flavorlessly dry, bland, boring**Ceaser Salad - Arrived at the table warm, dressing tasted expired.**Blackened Grouper - Rubbery, stringy, tough, bland & flavorless. Was told it was "fresh." It was indeed frozen.**Dirty Rice was served cold.Service:**Waitress did not have a sense of urgency. Lacking enthusiasm and determination, lazy, unresponsive.**When I explained that I was having problems with my food and drink, service team was slow to respond.**Made excuses for the poor food quality saying it was "made to order."**Had to speak to 3 different service members before getting to an actual manager who could help.**Manager did a great job at listening to the issues and comped one meal and appetizer. But I was ultimately disappointed that I had to leave the restaurant hungry.

Walked in, crowd at the door, hostess would never make eye contact, total chaos, very unorganized. Left even though we had reservations. Update: it seems pretty apparent the person answering this review is trained same as hostess. Not only myself, but 2 other groups left because of lack of care if we patronized the place or not. 10 minutes standing in a small tight entrance with zero attention from hostess speaks volumes .. good food or not! Won't be back .. and I've never eaten a bite there. See how you treat customers when there is NOT an airshow and you have no line!

Absolutely loved dinner here tonight. Celebrated our 18th anniversary. Staff was busy but did a wonderful job making sure everyone was taking care of. The food was amazing. Steak perfectly cooked, drinks were perfect. View of the water. What more could you really ask for. Steak seafood this is the place!!!HATS OFF TO ENTIRE STAFF. WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Haven't been here in a few years and I must say since they updated it's been a great experience. The service was wonderful, And if you like seafood with a bayou flavor this is the place. We enjoyed the gator bites and the boom boom shrimp. I also had the catfish with etofee, which was outstanding. Highly recommend!

My Fat Boy buddies were remembering Randy "Mellow Yellow" whom we lost to cancer. The atmosphere was nice and we had an awesome server, who unfortunately had to hear our complaints about the over cooked, dried out Mahi Mahi that came with our three orders of the Fisherman's Platter. The scallops were small but very flavorful. I was taken back by having to request bread for the table, actually two orders because one order was three finger sized sticks. The Mahi Mahi was the largest portion I've ever seen...it was reluctantly left on all three plates.On my first visit, the expectations were very high. We should have rejected the plate as the Mahi Mahi is the centerpiece of the plate, but we were more concerned about the eventual cold ride on the Harleys. At least the scallops were good.My son is a chef who commands comparable pricing however, three bad plates at one table is unheard of.
