Very authentic menu. I haven't had a meal that was so good that it brought back memories of my military life in Athens Greece. Awesome place to eat.

Zorba's has been one of our favorites for quite some time. The pizza is amazing, the soup is exceptional, the salads are fresh and crisp, everything we gave tried from the appetizers to the pasta has been very good. The servers are all personable and are great at making sure you have a pleasant dining experience.

I had gotten take-out from here today. If I had decided to dine in, then ordering my food would have been faster. Me and my associate were ignored for fifteen minutes. I remember some Melanined guy took my order while on the phone and completely ignored my associate. Then it took another ten minutes for my associate to finally order his food. This is my 6th and last time eating here.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE BREAD ROLLS!! THEY RECYCLE UNEATEN LOAVES FROM PRIOR CUSTOMER TABLES! Unethical, unsanitary, and downright gross. I have an actual video of staff handing the bread back to the kitchen to reuse, just can’t attach it to this review for some reason. The food is great tasting, but be careful when ordering. There is no sending dishes back at this establishment, whether you didn’t like it or it was just not what you expected. Unless the chef prepared the entirely wrong dish, you’re stuck with what you got.Tony is the owner, and he smokes cigars in the kitchen while prepping the food all day long. He speaks inappropriately to female staff members often during the evenings after he’s had a few too many alcoholic beverages.I advise you keep looking elsewhere, because although the food is very good tasting, you never know what kind of health hazards it was exposed to on its way to your table. ?

Had dinner here last night. Our server, JJ, was very attentive and provided good information. I had the eggplant dish on the menu that was a stuffed eggplant with béchamel sauce. It was very good, but deceiving from the menu. The menu picture shows two eggplant halves, but they only serve one. Hubby had the gyro platter. It was very good and generous portion. The restaurant is festive and colorful, but tired. Our booth seat cushion was torn and every time the man in the booth behind me moved I was bumped and jostled. A manager walked through the restaurant counting a handful of cash. It was awkward to see that.

Our meal was a little underwhelming and overpriced for what we received.Bread for three looked like a sesame seed covered hot dog bun. A spanakopita dinner consisted of two pieces. In most restaurants this would be considered an appetizer....

From a Greek girl from New York: this place is amazing. Definitely try the octopus appetizer. Big enough for a main meal when paired with soup. I suggest the avgo lemono as your starter. Absolutely delicious. Will be back again. Jay Jay is an awesome waiter. If you have the honor to have him, he will make sure you order the most delicious meal possible to your liking.

Had lunch with friends today at Zorba's in Sanford. Service was outstanding, and the food was amazing. The avgolemeno soup and the Horitiki salad were the best I've had in years. The pastitsio was delicious, as was the shrimp Athenian. One in our party had the lamb shank, and they said it was fabulous. It is definitely a restaurant that we will go back to again.

A wonderful second experience at this local gem!I had the good fortune of being waited on by the same waiter (last night) that took care of me and my buddy several months ago. As soon as my wife and I were seated at his table, we joked about his nickname being "Zesty" and we referred to it several times in our conversations over the course of the 45 minutes my wife and I enjoyed both the delicious humus appetizer and tuna salad plate dinners, along with his infectious smile and genuine concern to make sure his service and the restaurant not only met our expectations but exceeded them.It is such a Is joy to taste the incredibly fresh and delicious food served at this restaurant. The owner is very proud to state on a sign when you walk in the door, they do not believe in processed food and that everything you consume at this restaurant is prepared to order and fresh everyday. My only criticism of this restaurant has to do with the owner's insistence on REFUSING to provide a lemon wedge for water served at a table, even when I offered to PAY for the lemon wedge! The owner should recognize not everyone who requests water over that of a prepared beverage is seeking to avoid adding to their bill. Many people such as I drink lemon water for dietary purposes and denying such a request to a patron is not only inhospitable, it is completely unnecessary, ESPECIALLY when a patron is willing to pay for the privilege. Hopefully, the owner will reconsider and rescind this policy soon. All things having been said, Zorba's is definitely one casual dining experience to put on your agenda, whether for lunch or dinner.Parking: Although there aren't free parking lots throughout the downtown area of Sanford, they are not conveniently positioned if you are dining at zorba's. Free street parking is available, but during peak hours of lunch and dinner comma a parallel parking spot is not always available.
