My wife and I had a delicious meal last evening in this cozy romantic restaurant on Sanibel with attentive service and a friendly atmosphere. The fois gras was perfectly prepared. I had duck a l’orange and my wife had the Dover Sole. Both dishes were perfectly prepared. We added French silk pie for dessert. The experience was excellent from top to bottom and I can’t wait to go back. Best food on Sanibel and worth the drive to the Island to experience.

It was our first time going there on a referral from one of my clients on the island- we enjoyed a fabulous dinner ? & loved the great service, along with the owner who greeted us & made sure we were well taken care of - we both had the ( Dover Sole ) & it was exceptionally delicious.We will be back many more times ahead

Holly took me out for my birthday tonight and it was amazing. Best meal I have had in years. Absolutely superb, both owners simply delightful and very friendly. I will definitely go back again very soon.
Charming little bistro. Exquisite food, well plated and served. Chef/owners and staff are collegial yet professional. We do not drink alcohol so cannot judge wine menu, but otherwise simply delightful on every level. Prix fixe menu was ample, and entire menu was appealing. Not sure about vegetarian or vegan options. We had trout almandine and steak frites preceded by house rolls, pate, and light green salad with fresh mustard vinaigrette. Best meal I've had on the island. Actually took home dessert because we were full. Gluten-free friendly. Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free friendly.

Spectacular dinner! We had a lovely evening at Blue Rendezvous! The food was prepared with perfection.They had wonderful French wines by the glass. I was treated to a gluten free meal that was on par with any French cuisine prepared elsewhere! This is our new favorite spot on Sanibel. Thankyou♥️

My husband and I both dined at the Bleu Rendezvous on our anniversary, which happened to be the restaurant's re-opening in their new location by the art studio. We were visiting from Ohio but had dined at Bleu Rendezvous a few years earlier and loved it. Mari took my reservation over the phone and was so kind and friendly. Our server was Christine, and she was wonderful. She was so doting, she made us feel like royalty, and she was very kind and thoughtful. The food and drinks were incredible. We ordered the frog legs for our appetizer, and they were delicious and tender. I had the Seafood Vol-au-Vent, which was rich and so delicious. My husband ordered the Filet-Frittes and loved it. Mari stopped by and made sure we were enjoying everything. Their new space is cozy and quaint. We felt we had chosen the perfect place for our special romantic dinner.

We were so excited that Blue Rendezvous is back, especially after Ian. When in Sanibel we always come here at least once if not twice during our stay. They have really decorated their new restaurant to feel quaint & cozy with a spray of fresh flowers at each table. When you enter you feel like family, such a warm welcome. We had a superb waitress, very attentive but not over bearing. My husband had surf & turf, I had filet steak frites. Both were cooked to perfection & melted in our mouths bursting with flavor. The tuffle fries were delicious as well very addicting. For dessert we shared the apple crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We will definitely be back !!!

It is unfortunate that my friend and I chose this location for our birthday dinner. We wanted to support a local business on the island since there had been so much loss and devastation from the hurricane. We made a reservation for 7:00pm. I got there early so I sat in the car to wait until closer to 7:00pm. I watched a couple go in right before my friend and I, but when we walked in, we were stopped before we were even fully in the door. We were told computers were down and we could not be seated. That was it, no other options. At that point we went back out to the parking lot to search other local restaurants in the area that were open. While searching on my phone a party of 4 walked in, but never were turned away. At this point, they were picking and choosing who could be seated and who couldn’t. I don’t find it pure coincidence that the party that had a black woman in it was the party that was turned away. To then make a public post for your friends to leave you good reviews because of one negative is ridiculous. You received a negative review because that is exactly how our experience was. Negative. You then proceeded to say we “stalked” customers in the parking lot and would not be allowed back. We did not know the area since we traveled to the island for this specific restaurant and so common sense would be to research where to go next, not get in the car lost. No worries about us ever coming back to this establishment as they are plenty of other restaurants that will gladly accept our money and all kinds of people.
