We are locals. I don’t understand the negative reviews. I will say, we know the difference in the different AJ’s’ as well as the past iterations of this place, so perhaps our expectations are different. So, I will say our usual visits here are for music and drinks. But we just enjoyed a fantastic brunch here in the courtyard area. There was plenty of shade, the live music was phenomenal, there were large portions for the price (no photos but I had the lobster rolls and my husband had the country fried steak plate ). The food was well seasoned. But the highlight was the service from our wonderful server Michelle! 10 stars for her! She was always there when we needed anything without being intrusive. She was perfection and took our experience over-the-top! So highly recommend brunch with live music in the front patio!

If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. The only thing that was halfway decent was the bar. The food was absolutely disgusting, with overcooked vegetables and Hollandaise sauce with no crab in it and scallops that were inedible and cost $22 for three. Heed the negative reviews for this location, as they are accurate. When I told Chandler, the manager, the scallops were inedible, she apologized and that was it. When we told our server the scallops tasted fishy, she said they're fish and shrugged. We were told my guest could not get anything grilled or fried, because she has a shrimp allergy and everything is prepared in the same oil and on the same grill. Spend your $117 elsewhere.

Ordered the 'Market Priced' Oyster sampler plater yesterday just to find out that they were all the breaded, greasy, extra salty and spicy. 1 missing oyster only bread crumbs cover. As I complained, 1st they replaced it with another same style and again I showed it to the server, she apologized and returned it to the kitchen, then she brought another raw one that I have asked for at returning it back in order to be able and see the oyster itself which was big this time. I've been to both the Destin and the FWB restaurants and never had encountered an issue but at this location, they seem to cater to tourists that won't be back...

Called ahead and phone recording said open until 2am. Went online and website said open until 10pm. Showed up at 852 pm and were told they were closed with staff still in the building.
We love crawfish but this particular restaurant has them so spicy you can barely enjoy them. The AJs in Destin is much better. Like to sit outside and enjoy the beeeze

Atmosphere is very nice. That’s the extent of the good part. Our server had very little knowledge about menu and options. We had someone w/ shellfish allergies & he couldn’t/wouldn’t help us with chicken dishes. “We can’t deviate from the menu” is what we were routinely told. I also disagree with assuming you get 20% gratuity by automatically adding that to my check. That’s not your decision to make, it’s mine. Charging me 5% for “non cash payment” after spending over $225 on food is extremely ridiculous & petty. We visit the are 3-4 times a year & unfortunately we will not eat here again.
