Possibly our favorite Sarasota restaurant. Excellent food, good service, and a wine list that is not only serviceable but significantly under-priced. We go to Antoine’s 3 times a year or so, and every time we say that we should go more often. First visit was in 2015 or so.
We went there based on the reviews on yelp but had our doubts when driving up and seeing the restaurant in a strip mall. Our doubts were wrong and the reviews were right. The food is excellent and has attentive and helpful staff. This charming restaurant had many repeat customers when we were there. The owner, Olivier, knew many of these customers and is a colorful and engaging host. His wife, Angela, is the chef. The menu offers nice variety. My wife ordered the asparagus bisque and grouper. I had one of the many mussels dishes on the menu in addition to grilled octopus. All of our meals were well prepared. If this was not our last night in Sarasota, we would be going back this trip. Maybe next time we come to Florida!

This restaurant defines authentic cuisine and delivers a trully unforgettable experience. The manager is one of the most friendly men I've meet and it almost seems like it is his job to entertain you. Not to mention, his wife is a master of her work in the kitchen and I have no problems at all with her dishes. Best of all, the atmosphere of the room is absolutely beautiful, creating a friendly and comforting mood.

We went to Antoine's again last night to celebrate my birthday. By far my favorite restaurant in Sarasota. The first class service begins as soon as you walk in and are greeted by the owner and host, Olivier, and continues right through the moment you finish your evening there. We were first served an amuse-bouche of mixed vegetable soup which was absolutely delicious. My wife started with the Goat Cheese Salad, with the Goat Cheese wrapped inside warm, flaky pastry, which was amazing. I started, as always, with the Escargot, which is among the best I have ever had. For Entree's, my wife had the Filet Mignon, also wrapped in puff pastry with blue cheese filling, which was INCREDIBLE. I, as always, had the Steak Tartare, which is so fresh and delicious, that I can't bring myself to order anything else. (I'm a creature of habit) To top it off we had the Dessert Trio, and chose the Profiteroles, Chocolate Mousse, and Crème Brûlée. It would be easier to choose my favorite child than my favorite of the desserts. All were equally incredible. Add several glasses of Tawny Port to the mix, and it all came together to create the most perfect evening. I could not recommend Antoine's more highly than that.

Unassuming restaurant on the outside. Inside is a whole different world. Very friendly proprietor and staff who are knowledgeable and helpful. Food is first rate. It is mussel heaven, and the scallops are as good as any in the world that we've found.
Went to Antoines last! WOW. Not only did we have a fantastic meal, but a had wonderful time. Owners are the chef and front of house. Couldn’t ask for nicer people.Don’t miss this wonderful food and experience!!
