Food was delicious! Busy Friday night. Our waiter also had a a table of 12, plus a couple of other tables. I understand he was spread thin but for what I was paying for my meal, I should not have waited 10 minutes to order another glass of wine. The service did not live up to the quality of the restaurant/food.

I am from the NE. We Ate here last year at this same time of year. It was obvious that something had changed as the restaurant was fairly empty compared to last year. Sever was a nice young woman who unfortunately was not trained well. Food was good. Place was quiet but didn't have that “alive” feeling.

Overall, a nice evening. The others in my party enjoyed their meals. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I ordered the Pappardelle Al Brasato. I usually love this. Your description said it had a bone marrow Demi glaze. This is typically a brown sauce. Your dish had a spaghetti sauce, which I do not like. I didn't say anything because I didn't want my guests to wait for a replacement dinner, but I ate very little and didn't enjoy it.

We had a wonderful meal at Flavio's Downtown. We both had the Pappardelle Con Funghi Porcini and lite white cheese sauce. Absolutely fantastic !!!!! Our server was so helpful and polite and the atmosphere there is like being in NY. I strongly recommend this restaurant in Sarasota Florida.

Our experience at Flavio was wonderful! Lovely restaurant, great menu and exceptional service. Burrata appetizer, lasagna entree and pappardelle with short ribs all delicious! We would definitely recommend Flavio.

The parties at our table that ordered the pasta were happy. I had the spinach salad - it was terrible. It didn't seem that fresh and the dressing was awful. I had a blackened shrimp topper. It was fair. My husband had a chicken/salad dish and he wasn't happy with it. Stick to the pasta.

This was the first visit for my wife and I to and experience with Flavio's on Main in downtown Sarasota. It was very enjoyable and will definitely be returning. We would rate Flavio's consistently high on all counts, eg food, service, ambience — it's definitely a 4+, verging in a 5. Stay tuned for future updates...

Food was great. Service slow even though there were servers available. Candidly it was pretty clear the staff is not trained properly. They were focused on doing tasks and not serving people.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Sat at the bar first and enjoyed cocktails and coconut shrimp. Had a great table for 6 in the front window. Staff was attentive and we enjoyed our entrees. I had a White clam sauce with their pasta-very tasty. My husband enjoyed his homemade ravioli with lobster.

The food wasn’t bad, however the waitress was slow which killed the mood. We got the Caesar salad appetizer but it definitely did not have enough dressing. I will say the mule I got was great.

The burrata appetizer was delicious. My friends mussel app was very undercooked-mussels were very undercooked and slimy. Pasta dishes were ok. Shrimp in one dish was very undercooked and slimy. Desserts were not good-had a big fuzzball in one cannoli which was disgusting, key lime pie was not good and tiramisu was ok. Would not go back.

This restaurant tries to be “upscale Italian” which is problematic. They need to get the basics down like a really good Caesar salad, a good red sauce, and a delicious red sauce - none of which this restaurant has. Even the lasagna is “upscale” with a completely different taste and texture than most people are used to. I'm not against upscale food and unconventional preparation. I've dined at some of the best restaurants throughout the world. But Flavio tries to be special without really having anything special at all. The food tastes okay at best. There are five better options in town, including one about a block away that gets it right.

Had a delicious & delightful dinner. I had the Bronzino, my favorite. Perfectly prepared with fresh vegetables. Service was attentive & professional. One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Sarasota.
