Disappointing to say the least. Portions are very skimpy and the bread tastes like it came off the day old shelf at Publix. Ordered the bracciole with orrichette pasta. Bracciole was tiny and full of fat. It came with about 10 orrichette . I hit Burger King on the way home.

With no reservations when they are empty they put you in the garage. The food was not worth the ridiculously over price. Never going back. Don’t waste your time and money.

Cafe amici was wonderful. The food and service were excellent, and as we were leaving, Mossimo stopped us and had us sit back down. Gave us an appertif and some amazing canoli's for our anniversary. If you want truly authentic Italian food and service, this is the place to go fantastico as always
Went on a Saturday evening and loved everything about this restaurant — except for the noise volume. I couldn't hear my conversation with my friend across the table from me for how loud it was in the restaurant. It did end up detracting from our dining experience because it just got to be unnerving. We skipped having extra drinks and dessert because of it. But the food and service was excellent!

Service started slow but improved to very good. Menu had different items than most other Italian restaurants nearby. Food was very good, served hot and was flavorful Other patrons were very friendly and ended up like a neighborhood bar/grill. We will return!

Restaurant was ok nothing special it was our first time there. The grill octopus skin was a little slimy and the branzino fish was over cooked. Didn't complain to the server because the table next to us was complaining about their food not prepared properly ?♂️. Maybe it was just a bad experience for us.

Our waiter was phenomenal in making recommendations and the food & wine were outstanding. Not cheap, as expected in downtown Sarasota, but worth it. Only downside were the drunk-loud ladies at the bar.
The only positive part of the experience was the food. The service was the worst of any restaurant in Sarasota that I have experienced in the 9 years i have lived here. Our server had a horrible attitude and I had to repeatedly track him down to get refills of drinks and dessert menus. Our guests decided against dessert because our server was so put out. The manager was completely disorganized and spent most of his night drinking at the bar and talking with one table of 10. The noise level was so loud you couldn't even talk to yourself and they cranked the music level to a decibel of a nightclub while most tables were filled.

Very accommodating for a party of eight. Outside seating a little rough with not enough heaters and quality seating. We were offered a great table just inside next to a large window. This worked out very well. The service was very good and prompt. Prices were/are a little higher than other restaurants in the area but the food was very good.

The food is very good but very overpriced for what it is. Poor seating practice: We had a reservation for two and were seated at a two top table. We saw many four top tables with two people and several empty four tops. We were told we could not be moved. The next two people party that arrived were seated at a four top table. We asked again to be moved to a larger table and were escorted to a side room without the ambiance and activity of the main dining room. We also noted two parties of two and three that were seated in the side room who turned around and protested and were moved to the main dining room. We did not make a scene when requesting a large table, so we will not be dining there again.

I dined here with 7 others on March 23rd. My wife and I recommended this restaurant due to dining here three other times and having favorable experiences. The food was good but on the expensive end (I knew that going in). It was very noisy inside (would have preferred outside but they could not accommodate eight people). But the worst part was our waiter. He was haughty and rude, he basically ignored one of the women in our party because she asked for sauce on her meal to be on the side and he was extremely put out when he was asked by two members of the party if he could please split the bill. I understand people have bad days but it was one thing after another with this waiter. Needless to say he did not deserve nor get a decent tip. Not sure if I will dine here again or recommend to others.
