It was a good experience, however the oysters appetizer was pre-made and they couldn't accommodate our garlic allergy. For a restaurant that is supposed to be cooking from scratch, it was disappointing to have that happen. The waiter also did not provide the specials. We had to ask for them. However, both main courses we ordered were delicious and original.

Dinner at the Cafe is always a treat. Smoked old fashions to start then apps and dinner with my favorite wine Babich. Service was outstanding as always. Ambiance very festive be in the new bar area!

I celebrated my birthday with my husband March 5. Fine dining at its best. We were never rushed and had a wonderful evening. I had the steak frites and my husband had the veal both excellent. We've been coming here for years whenever we visit Long Boat Key and it just keeps getting better!

The wedge salad I ordered served had dressing that had gone bad. The deviled eggs were old. The shrimp on the shrimp cocktail were soft not cold & firm Basicly the food was not freshly made. I was very disappointed. Tom Garden 703-216-0225

We were excited to get reservations on a Saturday night, and we're looking forward to seeing the restaurant after the renovations. We were seated at a table in the bar area, which was very tight quarters and very loud. Service went in spurts with long periods between courses. We had the Oysters Rock, Duck L'Orange and Veal. All was good except the veal - not bad, but not good either. We will probably try it once more, at a table away from the bar or outside.

Food & service were great! The potato crusted grouper is amazing and the brazed shortrib is also excellent. Cosmo and smoked cocktails were really good and the wine list is excellent.

I had a birthday party here for brunch with 12 people and we had a great time. Ashley was my contact person and she answered all my questions promptly when arranging this. She's the best! The setting was beautiful and the service was excellent. Our servers were Sue and Juan Carlos, and they were on top of everything. They were always filling our wine glasses and getting us water and more bread. I think the food was good overall but my husband said his shrimp linguini wasn't that good and my friend said her burger was just okay, so I can't put five stars for the food. That said, the hors d'oeuvres of lobster soup and mushroom crostini were very tasty and a nice way to start the party. The servers brought out my birthday cake with the candles that I brought and then cut pieces for everyone. So festive! This was a really fun event and everyone enjoyed it.

One person in our party got a small wire ( about 1” long) from a Brillo pad in his veal. The manager comped his meal. No explanation of how this happened or what would be done to ensure it would not happen again in the future was given. Our server was very inefficient/slow. On our previous visits we had Christian and he was great. It's possible the server we had yesterday was new. The onion soup and the potato encrusted grouper were wonderful.

We ate here last year and were pleasantly overwhelmed by the service. Tonight, no one spoke to us for 25 minutes and didn't even have drinks for 40 minutes. The manager finally took our order. Table next to us went to the bar for their drinks! Food is great (loved escargot; duck was delicious). I get short staffed, but don't open up tables if you don't have the staff to cover them.

Dined with another couple and have eaten here several times. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and outside dining is very nice. The lamb, crabcakes, sea bass , potatoe crusted grouper and scallops were all delicious and well prepared. There were a few issues with the apps but they were resolved very nicely by the owner.

The restaurant was very busy at the time and waitstaff was shortstaffed. The manager tried to do what he could do to get us some help. Overall, we love the restaurant. We go there frequently.

Too LOUD! We've enjoyed this restaurant for nearly 10 years. Was always our go-to on the Circle. Sadly, that has changed. It was Saturday evening in mid February. The host took us to a table in the very back. An area which was recently remodeled. The noise level so loud that we did not even sit down. This was a first time experience in ANY restaurant on the Circle. A disappointment beyond measure.

Too hectic. Servers rushing all around especially when people vacated a table. They had it turned over and ready in a minute. Not a relaxing experience. Food is always very good and our waiter was pleasant.

This is classic continental cuisine and expertly done. Not too many places that you can find items such as Dover sole meunière and calves liver with onions. We do not live nearby so only come once a year, but it's worth waiting for. The service by Luis was not up to the usual standards that we have experienced previously. However, the management is superb and made things right.
