I went for Easter brunch made a reservation on open table for 2pm went at 2 got there did the hotel valet walked in and was greeted by the hostess that the kitchen closed at 2 and didn’t even try to apologize or say anything helpful just immediately ran to get her manager who just repeated what she said but did confirm we did in fact have a reservation for 2pm there but just told us to go somewhere else or to go to the rooftop bar which has a limited menu but seemed annoyed we were there even though they did confirm my reservation and the restaurant was still pretty full from others trying to celebrate Easter brunch overall terrible experience

I know, for one, I will never return. I waited 18 minutes for my drink (the place was NOT packed). someone else served me my drink, it was lukewarm, and it had a horrible taste. Our waitress, may have had too many tables in her section. We never saw her until the end. She did not bring our food. They mixed up my daughter's order. It happens, I know.  The service was not good at all. I am a local, so I'm going to express my experience with friends & co-workers. There's really nothing special about this restaurant. It looks like a diner, even the chairs/seats are dirty. I wasted my money going there. I go out to eat twice a week all over SARASOTA, and I will never return to this restaurant.

We loved our stay at the Westin but the food and service was definitely lacking at Evoq. I'm not sure if the service team was short-staffed, but our meal took forever to come to our table and was only subpar when it arrived. Our waitress was lovely and apologetic but the kitchen put her in a tough spot.

Extremely attentive and personable waitstaff, Simon. Went above and beyond to assure that our entire experience at EVOQ was perfect. Food was perfection. Not one thing we could criticize.

We had a nice dinner at Evoq. Service by George was excellent. He was friendly and attentive. Had a minor issue with one of our entrees, and the host of the restaurant had it fixed immediately without any questions or issues.

We had a 9:30 reservation after a show at the Van Wezel the restaurant was closed' there was an issue with the kitchen. They did not advise of the cancelation prior to our arrival.

Good food. The windows are very large against the two sides of the building. On colder evenings, (last night was 58) it is very cold when you sit against the window. Dress appropriately.
The staff at valet and front desk were the tops. The location was beautiful. There was confusion about who our server should be and that created a significant delay in drinks beyond water. We were relaxed in ordering but there was a again a significant delay in serving our meal which the waiter attributed to staffing concerns in the kitchen. This restuarant is in a great location, well organized access with complementary valet and polite staff. That night the delivery of the experience could have been better.
I booked this meal for our anniversary meal and the food was DIVINE. Our waiter was great too. The descriptions we found online were a little misleading as I thought it was a rooftop restaurant with great food (which is why I booked it).... we did end up going to the rooftop bar after dinner - the view is amazing and had a great vibe, but a different menu (not what I would've picked for a special meal). I am not sure why but the restaurant was pretty much empty - so not a great vibe. Perhaps because we booked it for 8:30pm? Not sure - the food made up for the poor ambience and then we went upstairs to the rooftop bar to cap off the night. Knowing what it was - I would still come here again to eat at Evoq and drink upstairs, but perhaps make an earlier booking so there were a few more people in there?

This is a gem. Food selections for breakfast are great. GLUTEN free options and WHOLE FOOD PLANT base options. Food taste is great. Service is amazing. Our server was Gina with beautiful smile everyday and humble. She goes extra mile to provide the best service. Nice restaurant. Not much of a view but it's a business hotel. Food was very good and the server was excellent. Very quiet The menu has an assortment of fish and steak. Would recommend for a casual dinner
